My sister got me the cutest stuffed boxer for mother's day and my son and I decided it needed to be a 'she', so Boomer could have a sister and I decided to name her Kitty! My son thought I was crazy for wanting to name her that, but apparently I'm in good company!

Whitney and Boomer (and stuffed 'lil sis Kitty)

this is hillarious because when i was 8 i got a kitten for my birthday and named it doggy and still have it to this day (I'm 22 now)... and everyone thinks its hillarious that its name is doggy. And when my older brother got a black lab his kids named it kitty because my cat was named doggy and they thought that's what you were suppose to do with animals name it after another one, they're 4 and 6.

kids are so funny. :)

My boxer's name is Apollo, after Apollo Creed (Rocky movies), but his full name is Duke Apollo of Mavington. Duke was my dad's boxer, and Maverick was Apollo's name as a little puppy. Apollo also fits because he's so pretty and "god-like" like the greek god Apollo.

My boy is named "Samson Maxamillion". He just looked like a Samson from his puppy pictures my sister emailed me, so he was named before I physically saw him and it DID fit him perfectly!! Maxamillion is after my late golden lab I had for 10+ years (Max - he was one in a million, hence "Maxamillion"). Anyway, my sisters female just had another litter and she's keeping a female fawn and named her "Delila". So now there is a "Samson and Delila" in the family.

My friend has a White Boxer male named Menish ( I think that is how you spell it) anyhow it means "warrior"

Met someone in a chatroom the other day that has a puppy brindle boy named "Uranus" (after the planet and pronounced in the American butchering of the word). I joked with her that when the dog passes bad gas and someone asked what's that smell, she can point to the dog and say "That came from Uranus!"

Naming

When we got out puppy, he always chased after my wife's shoes, and she had skechers on. He especially liked them when they were wet. Anyway. When my wife would change her shoes, he wouldn't chase her feet anymore, and he only messes with her Skechers. THerefore, Sketch is a run off from Skechers, but spelled like sketch because that is just sort of how it came out.

Names

The most unusual name I came across for a boxer was my girlfriend's dog Oliphant. But not to be outdone we've had Short for boxer short hehehe.
Goofy Mad Goofy, Herman the Pious (after a Pope out there) Rolly Polly, Arthur Rimbaud AKA Buck Roger as he was constantly on space patrol from one pillow space to another! , Cashew, Vasco de Balboa (an explorer) AKA Boa du Gazon (gazon is french for grass need I say more!) Choupie AKA the antillian saussage and soon we will have George(of the jungle of course). I named many more boxers when I was involved in rescue (in CA) but I'll be booted of the list if I keep on going
Fabienne and soon George

There is nothing wrong with it at all as long as the word is pronounce correctly. I grew up being taught it pronounce as 'your anus' and many people around this area still do. So it makes it a little funny to call a dog that.

I guess I am just weird
