Super Boxer
My guys are bell trained. They will ring it real loud if I don't come fast. It always wakes me up in the middle of the night. I must admit after letting them out 2 times in the night I will sometimes take the bell down for the night.

jill's mom I have learned to use the trick about turning off the porch light when I want them to come back and it works!

Boxer Pal
Chaos taps the sliding door, totally ignoring the bells. Actually he taps, ciricles around the dining room table taps again, and uaully by then I'm there and he sits to go out. (Being Mr Dominance, he has to sit for *everything*)

Turning off the porch light doesn't work to get him in, but a cookie usually will :)

KITA'SMOM

Boxer Booster
Kita uses her bells also, if that doesnt work she'll come find me and woo-woo! Now Hawk, at 9-10 weeks, doesn't understand all this hoopla about going outside when he can just go on the carpet inside where it's warm!! It's funny when Kita rings her bells, he just looks at her and then the bells with this dumb look on his face!!

At least he gets the concept of moving something even if the bells aren't there. Yaaayyy!!!!!
Buddy slaps his bells. If I don't come, he pushes them around with his head and lets them bang on the door one a time. It's really loud when he does it but it's so funny to watch.

well Cyrus just let me know.

Cyrus is a new "baby" for us. Last night when I brought him home I watched for cues he had to go..typical..restless, circling etc. So I thought that was it. But this morning after I let him out to pee..which he did like a racehorse  he wanted back in. He lay down for a few minutes and then got a bit 'weird" doing this stare at me..and a rrrrrrrr type sound, not a growl, not quite a woo woo. He then put his head on my lap, and i pet him thinking that is what he wanted..then he put his paws on me and looked at me and gave a short, sort of quiet bark with a woowoo sound..I figured I'd better get up and find out what he wanted..more food? more water..the second I walked into the kitchen (the potty door is through the kitchen) he got all excited and headed for the door..out we went and he did his poop buisness...good boy!! appicon the shelter said that the person bringing him in said he was 50/50 housebroken..I guess had the person payed attention he'd have seen the clues..

If I am in the kitchen Atlas will go to the back sliding glass doors and just look at me. If I am anywhere else in the house he will go to the sliding glass doors and whine.

Coco'smommy

Boxer Insane
Coco used to tap the blinds on our back door at other house too. She was like your baby and just started doing it one day out of the blue! She would either do that or tap the wiggly door knob we had on that door :) At our new house there are no blinds on the back door so I started using a bell and that is working out great now.

Super Boo

Completely Boxer Crazy
Bell trained, if you don't come right away they whack the bell really loudly--I have many dreams that involve bells  . No accidents for a very long time, but boy am I trained to listen for the bell.

tesster

Conner pees or poos on the floor to let us know he has to go. GREAT!

Tess is so funny. You know those door stops on the back of doors that make that "booooiiiiiinnnnngggggg" noise when you pull them? Tess just starts pawing at it when she has to go. We wake up to "Boooiiiiiinnnnggggg" every morning.

:)
