I work at a catalog call center for Cabela's. I'm not sure if anyone know what Cabela's is, it is like Bass Pro but better ;). Basically, when you call to order something, I'm the one that answers. Good money but very boring, since I'm pretty active. I've completed all my prerequisites for the R.N. program, and this fall, I get to start the "real" classes. I hope to work in a Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit or Maternity ward when I get done in 2 years.

The DH puts in phone lines, so he gets to be outside all day. Good in the spring and fall, not so good in the winter and summer :). When I get done with school he'll go back to school for the auto mechanic sort of thing.

If I pass the Praxis in June, I'll start teaching HS Spanish this fall. I can't wait!!!

How funny for you to mention the Praxis, I just found my test results for that today. I took the test back in 2000 when I was taking classes to be an English teacher. Weird....

well...here goes

My husband is a Sgt in the Army, he's been in for two years. He joined at 32 (almost didn't get in for his age). He loves it, he's an 88M-to those of us who don't speak Army jargon that's a convoy truck driver. UGH, he could have chosen a safer job....We are at our first duty station in Germany (wanted to get our overseas tour out of the way first). We will be going to Colorado in July. He loves the Army-it works great for him. Let me correct that-He loves his job-IT works for him....nuf said...

I am a Landscape Architect, specializing in Urban Planning and Irrigation Design, doesn't sound fun but I LOVE it. I just got my Masters in Business with a focus in Construction Administration prior to coming over to Germany. My goal in life is to own/run a Landscape business out of a nursury, doing residential design (taking my pups to work with my!). Husband wants me to get that started once we get to Colorado, we both want to stay there.

Pretty much-life is great for us-no complaints here just ready to get back to speaking ENGLISH AGAIN!!!
My boxers speak Germany primarily (being that they are German) but know English as well (they're so smart!)

I'm a Consultant, for a small family owned company. Its nice the people I work with are all friends of mine. We do planning for maint. and repairs for company's. Used to be a Supervisor making car bearings, don't really miss people calling me @ 4am on Saturday to come in and fix stuff that was broke. 4 years of on call 24/7 was good enough for me. Now its 40 hours, and the calls from co-workers are for dinner, or something fun.

Geez, everyone has cool things to do. I miss all that. Last year I was diagnosed with cancer, I received 7 weeks of radiation, and 6 mo's of chemo. I am currently on disability. I miss working so bad, but I am going to graduate from college next spring. I'm tired of working the gas station/convienece store stuff. I will be an Administrative Medical Assistant as of next Spring, as long as my cancer goes away. I go back to the Dr. April 27th, to the UK Markey Cancer Center, the best in Kentucky. So wish me luck ya'll, I want to get off the disability and become a tax paying American citizen again real soon!
That is why I say Boxers are the best therapy in the world! Hank came at the time I needed him most, and the rest is history!
