Normal food?

I'm just following my vets advice - that is ... Buddy's vet ;). He gets twice a day normal food; i.e. chicken broth with 1/2 of pita bread soaked in it, one boiled egg and (alternating) 1 boiled chicken breast, the equivalent of it in minced beef, veal or lamb and one plain yoghourt. As we don't have this fancy stuff here in Egypt we have to resort to good ol' home cooking :).

I do have canned food (as a reserve) but he is not too crazy about it. And strange enough - Bud-Bud accepts dry food as a reward (4-5 pieces) but as a full meal - no! He shoots me a look as if he wants to say: "Hey - you're lazy today?"

He loves fruit yoghourts. As he gets fed twice a day only I usually give him a fruit yog as a lunch nibble or fresh fruits (he's crazy about cantaloupe melon and banana). He's healthy and silky and full of energy. The vet said that after he reaches 8 months I can start feeding him pasta and veggies as alternative to the bread. I was told that fish is still too heavy for him to digest (?). I'll just wait and see but so far these menues have worked out fine.

Good luck with your little one :)
NB I must say all these brands and names are "foreign language" to me ...

We do canidae, with merrick canned mixed in, then we also do barking at the moon as a mix in. This works great for my guys and they look great :)

We feed our puppies ages 3 and 6 months Chicken Soup for the Soul kibble mixed with the canned. They love it! :) What part of CA are you in? We are in So Cal, and find ours at a local independent pet shop.

My pups are on Nutro Ultra twice a day (about 2 cups each serving) mixed with 1/2 can of Nutro Ultra wet and 2 TBLS of plain fat free yogurt. As a treat they get vanilla fat free ice dream or a cup of fruit yogurt. I am also introducing them to vegeatables as a snack. We are great with canned green beans. They are not crazy about carrots. I also give them apples and peanut butter in their Kongs. My pups also look great!

Lucky gets homemade. He gets hamburger meat currently with veggies, but we are switching to Essex Cottage Farms, which is hamburger meat with a variety of other things in it. Veggies, alfalfa, sunflower oil, etc. You bake it into a meatloaf, or muffins, and feed it to him. All natural, very healthy, and he absolutely loves hamburger meat!

so on a weekly basis what exactly do u feed ur pup, i was reading about the raw diet but its so different and sounds weird. i wouldnt know how to start.

i feed raw too - very recently. it is pretty different and weird until you get used to it. the hardest part was making the decision to switch. after that - actually starting is easy...buy a whole chicken, cut it up into quarters and feed your dog 2 quarters a day (there's a calculator as to how much you should feed per the dog's weight. Stella weighs 60 lbs and is 1 yr). i found chickens for 69 cents a pound at the grocery store last week, and so feeding the chicken cost less than the premium kibble. i think it worked out to be $1.18/lb for Wellness (the kibble I used to feed). i fed just chicken for a month and am slowly introducing other meats. stella's eating pork now - she just LOVES it. if you want to know more about it, lots of people on the site feed raw and are more than willing to answer questions! Good luck!

Sienna eats either Diamond, Purina, or Eukanuba. She eats Alpo wet food. When I get the new puppy, he will eat Purina puppy chow
