I work for a GM dealership in the parts department. Yes, a WOMAN  selling parts. It is fun and pays well. Unfortunately, I have to deal with the occasional jack*ss who apparenty thinks I do not have enough testosterone to look up an auto part. I actually had to tell a man who was treating me like I am stupid yesterday, " You can yell at me all day, if the vehicle does not have it, yeliing at me will not help!" UGH!!!! Overall, I love my job. What is funny is the mechanics I do not have to worry about, they know I am on my job. It is the idiots who have no clue who treat me as if I am stupid. What is really funny is that when they act like that, I hold back and do not help them where I really can such as telling them not to buy a wiper motor on there 1997 Silverado because 99% of the time it is a circuit board. It is a shame you cannot return electrical parts.

You go girl! I did the RV parts thing myself. I was really unappreciated and finally just had to get out. There wasn't enough money where I was.
Now, I love my job. I work for a small coop electric company. It's awesome.

I work with families whose children are poor sleepers, fussy eaters, breast + bottlefeeding difficulties, behaviour issues, toilet training.I work with the age group Birth-4yrs.
I love meeting new people every day,and I find meeting the challenges really rewarding, love my job.

Can you call my sister and help her with potty training my 5 1/2 year old nephew???? He just doesnt want to go potty!!! She has tried everything and is at her wits end foolicon

I work in the Human Services Field as a Vocational Instructor/ Case Manager! I work with individuals with various disabilities (all across the board from ADD, ADHD, Mental Health, OMRDD, Downs, Diabetes, Learning Disabled, etc....). I work to find them community based employment; teach and train them work ethic, responsibility, community inclusion, budgeting skills; setting them up with bank accounts; establishing credit (if need be); establishing housing that fits their needs; coordinating public assistance (such as medicaid, medicare, SSI, SSDI, etc...); travel training with public transportation; hooking them up with charities, food stamps, salvo, etc... It's an all around the board job... but very rewarding!!!! When we do rec/club days or special events, I can bring the doodle~bugs to work with me! The people we serve love them and they are good therapy that bring smiles to their faces always!!!!! :D

That is what I have always wanted to do, but havent been able to get a job in that area. I have applied for many of them, but cant even get a call back. I thought with my education I would at least get some consideration, but apparently working as a paralegal for 5 years doesnt help me any.

For a year and a half, I worked at a Learning Center with 22 toddlers. 3 weeks ago, I got a job working for NASA in the Head Quaters building in Cape Caneveral, Florida.

Very much a different pace, and it is nice to have professional conversations. My dream job would be to work with animals, if I win the lottery I am devoting my time and money to the Boxer Rescue. Or any animal shelter in need of some loving!! I would adopt a whole bunch of boxer babies and work with them forever :)

I am a registered nurse. I work in the Medical Respiratory Intensive Care Unit. We do it all: burns, surgicals, cancer, chemotherapy, failure to thrive, respirator dependent, wounds, hyperbaric medicine, strokes, diabetes, infectious diseases, Flight for Life, infant to adult, but once the child is stable, transfer to childrens hospital. We are a 24 bed unit, and very busy. Love it 99% of the time! Take care of, meet and work with great people. Sometimes it is very intense, but I have great co-workers, and we take care of each other. Unfortunately can't bring my babies to work, but have assisted with pet visitations-and they are a ball! Several of us daydream about our "dream" job: opening a doggy daycare!

I too work in an office all day - and I'm so over it!

I currently in the marketing department for a company that produces various vinyl/pvc type products. Before that, I worked in the in-house art department for an insurance company. I have a BA degree in graphic design and have been doing it professionally for about 4 years now. I love design, but unfortunately designers are more the tools implemented in carrying out the client's vision, rather than getting to do any 'creative, original' designs.

I'm ready to change fields. Maybe I can find a job pertaining to my true passions: animals, travel and writing.

I work for a small non-profit child abuse prevention program. I do home visits with families that considered high-risk for abuse or neglect. Basically we get the families that the state Child Protective Services doesn't have time for, but is afraid to leave unsupervised. :o It's rewarding sometimes and frustrating sometimes. Our agency also offers parenting classes... I don't have kids yet so I've been afraid to try teaching those, our clients would laugh me out of the room when they found out my only "parenting" experience is with a 1 yr old boxer
I only have a few visits each day so I'm home a lot, which is so nice. Only have to be in the office one day a week. Kinda makes up for not making any money  And if Grumpy can pass her therapy dog test, she'll be able to come with me to work sometimes!!!!

I am an expanded function dental assistant in restorative and fixed and removable prostodontics. I get to do just about everthing but give anesthesia and cut on a tooth, which means filling a tooth, dentures, crowns, bridges plus all the other things a general dental assistant does. I absolutely love my job. I think it is even better than being a dentist because I don't think I would want to deal with all the stress they have. I work 4 days a week Mon thru Thurs and have 3 day weekends every week. NO holidays, Saturdays, or evening appts here! I have been doing this for 14 years now and I have probably seen it all or heard it all when it concerns the mouth or teeth. grin2icon
