becoming a father!

Wow, I'm so excited for you! Please keep us posted!

Here's a little tip, bring home an article of clothing that the baby has worn for sometime (AFTER the real bath)like the little undershirt, blanket or hat. And let Capone and Spooky get a good, good sniff and leave it out so they can sniff it at will. We have twins, and my husband brought home some blankets and the some hats they were wearing to Mugzy and Wendy. We never had a problem. Just do not bring home the original hat for the dogs to smell (keep it in a different place) because this will have odors other than the babies.

As a funny side note, when the babies were learning to sit, as I was folding clothes or something, I'd put one of them leaning up against Mugs as support. I think he really liked this "JOB" and never moved for fear that they'd fall. Of course, I was literally sitting next to all of them on the floor at the time. No matter how safe you feel, never leave the baby unattended with the dogs.

I have a degree in political science/criminal justice, but I work for Avaya Communication, a spinoff of Lucent Tech. I work in user support/production support. I want to be a police officer, but for right now, a bad knee is keeping me where I am.

As for the newspaper route, I was thinking of picking up a route myself. The USA Today only deliver Monday through Friday and pays very well.

I have a degree in biology but unfortuantely that isn't what i am doing now. I am an industrial engineering clerk. Basically it is alot of spreadsheets and reports..getting dirty looks when I go out and film people doing thier jobs and also going out into the two plants and doing stuff for the Engineering dept. I used to work out in the plant..it is far better than that, I promise you!! Being a laborer sucks....However, it is boring compared to what I wanted to do..which I don't quite know what that is..something dealing with animals though. It is alright except I have a high work load all the time as does the entire dept...always something to do..which is good...job security ;) Perhaps one day I will persue my biology again..perhaps not. Just have to wait and see I guess.

Also full time mom to Benjamin... he keeps me busy. Anyway, I think my job stinks compared to everyone else's... My ideal job would be to do absolutely nothing :D

I hear you there! I would love to spend all of my days home with Vera, and checking out Boxerworld! It's really a good place to come "home" to and check in. I have really gained a lot of knowledge on the Boxer breed in the very short time that I have been "part of the family". Makes me happy to know that Vera is completely normal, not the clutzy clown I once thought. clowicon

I am a Corrections Officer. Most people hate this job but I really enjoy it. I do not let it get to me. I work in an adult male prison here in Florida. We do not get the respect that we deserve. Most people think we are uneducated and that women that work in places like that are nuts. Although most of the things that we see are not so nice someone has to protect the public just as someone has to pick up garbage.

I have an uncle that did that too, but in NJ. He loved it, we were also all very proud of him because it was a big step up from his previous job of .... garbage truck driver  so don't knock it. Our family was also very proud of him because he always had a good rapor with the inmates and during the NJ prision riots the prisioners were taking over the cellblocks and as my uncle was walking into one of the rooms to try to maintain control, the prisioners had a bucket of (sorry this is so gross) urine and were about to throw it on whoever walked in and when the front guy saw it was my uncle, he said "Hold off, it's Manzi" so that was nice of them.

Are you near south Florida? We're in Miami but willprobably move "up north" in the next five years, we're thinking of Gainsville or Tallahassee or maybe in the panhandle, if it isn't too cold for Glenn up there ;)

I think using the terms clown clowicon and boxer together are redundant  I don't think I could live without my boys...they bring such joy to us partyicon

NOw if I could just figure out how to dress Bossk in drag and teach him how to type...he could take my place here at work, and I could take his snoozing on the couch sleepicon

My main job is boxer mommy, but I work full-time at a call center for a pharmaceutical company and I used to work at an STD and HIV hotline. I am in school part-time trying to persue a career in veterinary medicine. I have finished my first two years of my undergrad going part-time to a community college. I plan to attend NC State full-time and finsh my degree. I want to go to school next fall full-time,then I would also be able to be at home with my babies more. I miss them soooooo much when I am at work.
