Wow it's interesting to learn a little more about everyone's lives.

Me, I have many jobs. Fulltime IT/customer service Technical support specialist for an ISP. Graphic designer by trade, freelance in that area. Also professional body piercer...yes I'm serious. I apprenticed in piercing 5 years ago, and have a small home based business on the side.

my most important job, 24/7 BOXER MOM :)

I am a Corrections Officer. Most people hate this job but I really enjoy it. I do not let it get to me. I work in an adult male prison here in Florida. We do not get the respect that we deserve. Most people think we are uneducated and that women that work in places like that are nuts. Although most of the things that we see are not so nice someone has to protect the public just as someone has to pick up garbage.

jobs!

This is an interesting topic. All of you have very interesting jobs! I'm a college student, majoring in communications. I someday hope to be a famous radio personality. Right now I do an all 80s music show on my college radio station... As for work, I am an employee at a cool store called Newbury Comics. We sell comic books, cds, posters, shirts, jewelry, all kinds of neat stuff. I used to work as a receptionist at a psychiatrist's office, which was never boring....

I am a nurse in a long term care facility. I work with Alzheimer's patients in a secured unit. There is never a dull moment for sure. The work is sometimes rewarding and can be truly frustrating but I love my patients. Some days you laugh..some days you cry..

Hey SandyR-

It is very interesting that you are a nurse in an Alzheimer's unit, I worked in a secured unit myself until I was needed to pass meds on another unit. It is definitely a trying job to say the least, I liked it most times but othertimes I was stressed to the max. wackicon I have been a CNA/Medication Tech for almost 10 years, so I know just about all there is to know about the long term care field. I should and could be a nurse by now with all of the hands on experience I have had, but I really haven't had the inspiration to do it. Lots of family members give me a lot of praise and credit for doing this job, and people like us deserve it, it's a hard job. :)

I work for the Home Shopping Network. I am a "Show Planner." Basically, I manage our inventory and decide what to air and how much we will probably sell. Not glamorous but it's interesting and pays the bills.
I'm currently working towards towards my masters degree with the University of Florida. I'm hoping to move into the international division of HSN and help develop our networks in other countries.
I'm about to take on another title very soon, Father!
We are expecting our first child any minute now (today is my wife's due date)!
Our boxer loves to come up and lay his head on her belly!
I think he can't wait!

My wife & I used to own our own resturaunt but it was too "scary" for my wife, not having a stable income so I became a custodian for one of Detroits more affluent areas. I work in the early childhood center, mainly with 18 month-4 year olds. They refer to me as "Mr. Fixit".

I didn't have trouble sleeping because I know that as soon as she goes into labor I won't be seeing my pillow for a while!
It's a boy and he's obviously not interested in the timetable the doctors gave us.
It's Friday night and he still won't come out and play!
She's tried every old wives tale in the book, but they don't seem to have helped.
