I do College Recruiting Administration for the Information Services sector of a BIG drug company (starts with an M...) When our recruiters go out to the college campuses to recruit, they send me back the best candidates they can find and I process them, track them, schedule them, help them , answer questions, etc. So I get to work with college recruits & their data all day! I also help run the Intern program. It's pretty cool for being an office job!!

I coordinate and provide supported living services for people with develpomental disabilities. We help them to gain the skills needed to be as independent as possible. Everyday I work with different people doing different things. Some days I fill out paperwork and talk to the government, and some days I go bowling. It is very rewarding as well as fairly flexible. My degree is in communication and kinesiology, so I do a little of both on an almost daily basis. Thanks to everone else that has shared - it is so interesting to read about you all.

I went to school to be an architect, specializing in environmental impact abatement (Keepin' things natural),
went to work for a firm that does primarily land reclamation and Parks. While on a project I decided to
live a childhood dream and become a Park Ranger, stayed
as a Ranger/Project Development Coordinator for 9 years, decided that the money was horrible and it was too much like being a city policeman. Now I'm back in the private sector managing a field office and doing Environmental Impact consulting to developers.

Eventually I'll figure out what I want to do when I grow
up...maybe!

I'm a medical transcriptionist (HI LETA!). I worked in a hospital setting for many years (more than I care to admit) and was cross-trained in various areas of the hospital (from transcribing to assisting with patients during procedures, etc). :D I've been transcribing at home for the last three years. I've had the pleasure of transcribing various big name teaching institutions and have found my career keeps me on my toes--never a dull moment!

I work for a University here in San Diego. It is like having your finger on the pulse of society and change. The students are great and the environment fosters creative thought, especially the "Free Speech Steps". Another perk is that I get to attend classes at the University at virtually no cost so I can further my pursuit of more education. My job is a boring one rife with figures, reports and other such nonsense.

Thinking about creating a free speech forum soon :)
I bought a domain name "freespeechforum.com" in June last year but didn't have the time to work on it.

I work for an online Frenchspeaking company and I am in charge of their forums, webrings, online bookmarks etc.
I have (with 3 coworkers) to think about the products and their features and then the computer guys build them. I studied law for 5 years (nothing to do with my work).

You should do it. That is a great premise; it would be very popular. And you should do one without rules and see what happens. I always have something to say.

I work for Nortel and do market research. Can be boring or interesting depends on what day it is. I would love to be on either Animal Planet or The Food Network with my own show. I'll feature people who have great dogs and have great recipes to share. We'll talk about their dogs, meet and play with the dogs and then go into the kitchen and cook. I think 30 minutes would be long enough? I can call it ...? I have no idea? That can be my producers job!

I've never worked a day in my life! At least that's what my brother in law says since he doesn't consider military service to be work. I joined the Canadian Army from high school and retired in '95 after 31 years. Had some interesting times in the Artillery shooting down avalanches in Rogers Pass, British Columbia to keep the highways safe. Also did two UN six month "holiday tours" in Egypt/Syria and Cyprus. But most of the time I just pushed paper. Now my job is full time caregiver to Ana.:)
