Clover's Mom

Super Boxer
Oh goodness, mine might take up a whole page;

Let's see, Clover LOVES to eat underwear and throw it up at "just the right moment", she also loves getting in the trash and eating things like onions (NO, NO - and only happened once) tissue paper. She loves shredding boxes and Christmas presents. Her favorite is to go out on the patrio and empty all the planters and then decorate the dinning room with the flowers and dirt. Oh yes and she ate through the bedspread and spread the stuffing all over the bedroom. And my favorite is when she decided the dinning room needed a makeover, so she got the red and green christmas acrylic paint dyed the carpet red (we got it out), and had little red and green paw print that lead straight to the pumpkin cookies I made.

But she's been good for the past hour - I'm only kidding, she is slowly maturing, she is only 1 afterall, can't expect greatness, just yet. :)

Let's see..Brutus has taken a bag of potting soil in the basement and covered the basement floor for us, same with a bag of pea gravel, completely chewed a wire off of the weedeater, destroyed a mini blind, chewed a wire in two on the air return for our heat pump, chewed up our soft toilet seat, and continuously gets into the cat litter so that mommy has another reason to use the vacuum cleaner at least once a day.

mmmm....

I guess we have been pretty fortunate...really the only thing Dexter has done any damage to was a curtain. He managed to get the end piece that was hanging over his crate and chewed and shredded it. I can recall a pencil here and there. Sometimes while he's playing on his back he will nibble on the edge of the couch but has not done any damage cause we always catch him doing it!
Just lately we've been able to leave him out of his crate for half the day and then I come pick him up on my lunch break and bring him to work with me half of the day!

What a mistake...

When Roxy was 7 months old (over a year ago) we decided to "try" to leave her out of her crate while we went out for the evening. We thought we weren't going to be gone that long but it turned into 3 hours. We put her in our bathroom, put up a baby gate (so she couldn't scratch the door to pieces) and then put 2 high backed chairs in front of the gate. Then "just in case" we closed our bedroom door so IF she did get out she couldn't get into the rest of the house. We got home and I just knew she had wrangled her way out... She had!! She had shredded toilet paper then in our room she shredded a book of my dad's, 2 pcitures that we had paid for on our recent cruise (those weren't cheap), knocked everything of of dressers and night stands, peed on the comforter, on the ground and pooped once. The room was a wreck. We are still afraid to leave her out. A couple of months ago I left her out when I went out to wash the car and she got into my purse and ate my Oakley sunglasses!! They were chewed up beyond belief. Grady is good, she is a little demon when she is left out. We are going to try her again soon but only after we "Roxy proof" our house and only leave her for 30 minutes or so. She is slowly getting better and Grady keeps her occupied. If we are doing yard work we will leave them inside and they do good. Hopefully she can prove to us she can be a good girl. As for eating strange things that hasn't really happened. They always want good people stuff. Roxy is always surfing the counter for cookies, muffins and cakes that mommy has taken out of the oven, putting paw prints here and there. She is crazy and I love her! And they try to eat bugs, but who doesn't do that :)

My monster reggie has ripped up linolium in one room, put a two foot hole through my bedroom door, ate my cell phone and cordless phone, ripped up books,and tore the plaster out of the walls. Needless to say he now spends his time crated when I'm not at home.

Kimber & Mac

Super Boxer
When Mac was about 9 months old he ate my computer. LOL- not the whole thing, he chewed on the laptop, then somehow removed the CD drive and chewed it up. It was fun apparently. He also unwrapped and chewed all of the Christmas gifts I had bought his 1st year.

BUT - my sisters dogs eat her mattress. It started with the sheet. Then they began going through the sheet to the egg crate. Then, a few weeks ago she came home and her mattress had a 2x2 FOOT hole in it to the springs. I don't know why she just doesn't get a crate...
