Super Boxer
Rocco is terrified of certain hats and helmets - only when they're on someone, even if the person wearing it is someone he knows. We had a Halloween party that was attended by family memebers that he knows. Some of the people were wearing wigs - he totally freaked out or should I say wigged out!! He also gets freaked out if you cover your face with anything - towel, blanket, shirt - he runs for cover.

Both Rocco and Dino love to chase the vacuum while I'm using it, but only when I'm using the beater bar attachment. If I have just the hose/wand they're terrified and run away.

Rocco is also afraid of bubble gum bubbles!

Completely Boxer Crazy
Rocky is afraid of the tape measure - anytime I grab it and especially if I pull the measuring part out he FREAKS out. He's also afraid of the bathroom scale. If I put it in the hallway he sneaks up to it then runs away sneaks up and paws at it or jumps over it. It's hilarious.

He is not afraid of the vacuum or storms - he just lets me vacuum and he minds his own business. We've been hit pretty hard with a few nice storms over the past few weeks and these are his first BIG storms - he just kinda looks up at me like "WHAT WAS THAT" but he's not afraid per say.

He also is afraid of baskets - like clothes baskets.

What a goofball.

Darwin does not like anything pushed along the ground towards him - so that includes vacuums (although he is pretty inured to them now that he is older) and push brooms. He doesn't much like thunder, he will crawl under the table or desk but otherwise does not get agitated. And of course loud noises startle him.

The funniest thing he was ever scared of (is that mean?) was a sheet hung over the clothes line. It was large and flapped in the wind and he barked and backed up from it. Although we laughed, we did take it down.

Olive recently was scared of her daddy, unfortunately. She tore a nail on her back foot - hurt a lot. Anyway, she was sleeping on the couch and daddy came to pet her - wasn't even close to her foot, but when she awoke she must have moved her foot causing some pain. She associated the pain with him and for the next day wouldn't come to him at all. :(

Frankie is the very same!! She used to be afraid of the hairdryer and the lawnmower but she is getting over them.

She absolutely hates balloons- she wont come into a room if there is one there and will bark like hell at them when she sees them (and run away at the same time!!!)

Hahaha that is hilarious. I wish we could make collars like in the movie "Up" where the dogs can talk.. because i can only imagine what they were saying about that turtle!

Turtles. Yep. Turtles. They have found a few in the backyard and they bark like crazy at them. When I pick them up to put them on the other side of the fence....they run. I offered to let them sniff one, and they took off!! Oh..and Harvey was afraid of my bro-in-laws motorcycle helmet the other day....not when it was on his head though, but when it was on the bar.

Hilarious!

I'm soooo glad so many people responded!! I am sitting here reading them and cracking up! I know i'm horrible for laughing at our babies fears but they are all just so random. I never had a dog that constantly looks up.. up at the sky, ceciling or car. But i guess its just something that boxers do since so many of them are afraid of balloons. I forgot to mention that Toots is terrified of the ceiling fan when its not moving.
