what age did you boxer start getting white brows and muzzle

Hi there, just a question? What age did your boxer start getting white eyebrows and muzzle? We have a rescue Silly Lily and our vet thought she was around 10 months to a year (by looking at her teeth and body) that would make her almost two now. She is white with brinle patches over her eyes and she is getting the white brows and muzzle fast. Could she be older than two since we have no history on her? Just curious, do whites turn gray a little faster?

Ruby started turning white at about 5 years of age. She's getting a little white on the eyebrows and muzzle. I thought it was a little early for her to turn grey, but my vet says dogs are like people, some go grey earlier than others.

Minnie is 3 1/2 and has a tiny bit of grey on her muzzle.

My Hook started graying shortly before he turned 5 years old.

I have such a soft spot in my heart for those gray muzzles...Hook is the most handsome he has ever been...he's got these little white hairs on his bottom lip! SO CUTE!

Minx just turned 2 on Sunday and she is starting to grey on her muzzle. I thought that was a bit soon but I guess it's not.

I think it is kind of like people, the earliest any of our boxers ever started turning gray or white (delayed flashiness!) was Gretchen at about 5 years old and with her it was really weird, she started getting these white spots all over from the shoulders up. No one I know of has ever seen that - I had a post on here somewhere to see if anyone here has ever heard of that and so far not.

Our Mazey was 13 1/2 when she died and she had just started getting gray within the last year or two and didn't look at all like she was that old. You will find that gray/white little face will be just one more thing to love about your boxer - a precious little old-timer!

Thanks for the replies, our Guswieser (yes don’t set your beer down to low he will find it) is turning 4 and no grays yet. Our friends boxer started about 4ish, maybe since Silly had it rough at a young age maybe it is just showing early. Come to think of it I guess it is like people. I met this handsome man this weekend to trim my trees he was young with all gray hair and he could climb a tree like a champ. Yes, I am happily married but not dead ( no offense to anyone). I would love my fur kids if they were pink with big purple flowers on them with gray around the edges. Thanks :D

Our female, Ali, is 3 1/2 yrs old & her mussle has started to show a little grey. We thought it was abit young too, but from what we gather it is quite normal.

Konig who is now almost 9 years old has really only gotten grey in the past 2 years. Ive seen a female boxer at our vet, she turned very grey in the face at 2 years. I was shocked, cause my boy didn't turn grey until he was actually a senior at 7 years.

Linda is 11 years old now :D She has started turning grey at the muzzle and brows around the middle if not the end of her 9th year... And seemed it happen overnight coz now her muzzle and brows are completely white...

I was looking at her pictures when she was a "young lady" she has such a black face...and now she has a white face... Funny how a dog can also age..and that the black hair has turned into white.
