Well I hope I don't gross anyone out too much by telling this. If you are eating you might not want to read it right now. Both Keisha and Travis have eaten quite a few things that they shouldn't. But Travis takes the cake - paws down.
I was called to the yard one day by my hubby to find a "string" hanging out of Travis' behind. He was walking in circles and looking at his butt and then at me like he was saying "help me". So after getting a big wad of paper towels I pull on the string - and out popped TWO used tampons on the other end of the string. :o Thank goodness he doesn't raid the bathroom garbage anymore!
Another time we had to rush him to the emergency vet - he was coughing and starting to have difficulty breathing. As soon as the vet and his assistant lifted him up on the table before they had a chance to give him a sedative (so they could better examine his thoat ) he coughed up a bird skull complete with beak. Problem solved - bet that was the easiest $80 that vet made. It was the remnants of a hawks dinner I'm sure as I had seen hawks taking sparrows from near our bird feeder around that time.
