Hey Julie, just to let you know onions are poisonous to dogs. You may want to try and cut this one out of their diets!

Take Care :)

Julie, I know what you mean...they are quick little devils aren't they evilicon

I feel so sorry for my Joe right now. He is so use to getting what we are having and he has been put on a strict prescrition diet and can not even have his treats much less a nibble or lick of what we have. He is having a hard time figuring out what in the heck is going on! poor guy :(

Rusty ate a potholder, forunately he gagged it back out. Also our macaw likes to throw some of his food (especially brocolli) down to them to eat.

Slobber

It is funny that you mention slobber.......he has never had ANY slobber or drool until the past few weeks. Everyone has talked about their dogs and the slobbering and I just kept saying to myself "I have no idea what these people are talking about, Joe just does not do this and boy am I glad"....well I guess I spoke to soon....he has begun!!!!! It really is not that bad at all, but I guess it can only get worse :p

Want to hear a funny story about slobber? :D

My old boy, Knight, never really liked dog shows, he would sulk and pout and slop around the show ring and what an effort it was to present him for the judges examination!!

Well, because he was such a lovely boxer I decided to try just one more time at a big show and decided to use some yummy chicken pieces as bait.

We entered the ring and all was going well. Knight knew I had the tasty chicken treats in my pocket and had started to drool . No problem. I had a small cloth in my pocket I used to give his mouth a quick wipe .

Finally it was his turn for the judge to go over him. He stood like a champ and held his head up high. The only problem was by now the chicken treats (I had slipped him a couple) were really getting to him and the drool was fast running from his mouth:eek:

Just as I was about to give him a quick wipe the judge retuned to his head and her whole sleeve was completely covered in thick slobber!!!!

She looked and her sleeve and smiled, Ok no big problem, well that was until Knight decided to shake his head and YES!!!

Slobber flew in all directions, covering the front of the judge.

It was all I could do to not fall about laughing.

This pic is of Knight on Christmas day when he was 11 years old. Notice he never went grey? He was this beautiful when we lost him at 12 1/2
