Re: Awesome WW Support Site

Also, I wanted to tell you about this awesome site I found. It's called Health Discovery, and it's a support site for folks on WW. There are food points lists as well as a restaurant guide that gives partial menus and point values for about 125 restaraunts. AND there's a great forum there called Bootcamp Buddies. Everyone on the forums encourages everyone else to stay on the program. They share a lot of recipes, too.

I was just wondering if any of you have joined the boards at Health Discovery yet. They are sooo helpful for helping you stay OP (on program). I'm SouthernArt over there, too, if you join up. :)

OH, and I've found another wonderful site. At Dottie's Weight Loss Zone there is a restaurant guide with around 400 restaurants listed. You can look at their menu and the point value for menu items. It's very helpful. If you have a Palm Pilot (I want one), you can download that list to it. Cool, huh?

(looks around) 60 lbs total for me ...to date. :D

I've gone from approx. 210lbs on a 5'7 frame to 150 lbs (give or take a lb or two depending on the day of the week..he he).

I've also kept it off for ...ermmmm....four or five years now and have lost 30lbs since my hubby and I got married a year and a half ago.

He groans and tells me that he's gaining all the weight I take off. Ha...which is kinda true since he's gained 40-50lbs since we met. But I love him to pieces. I dun' want no skinny toothpick! :D

For me, feeling thin and healthy is much better than any piece of junk food will ever taste.

If anyone needs support, let me know. I've been there...done that...and still scrupliously guard my weight and watch every lb.

Congrats to all of you who have taken that first step! That is always the hardest!!!!

Congratulations Jenn! You sure give me hope, today is my first day and I am starving:confused: I think I will have a bowl of salad and hope it will get easier! Will sure keep you in mind if I need to talk. You have done great!

Ahhhhh, Scorpio.....but what if I told you that you could lose the weight and stuff your face at the same time and NOT be hungry???!!! :D

My sister in law is in the upper 300lb region. She went on the diet I first went on to start losing the weight and to date, has lost 40lbs. appicon

For me, I needed something to kick start me and keep me full so I wouldn't cheat. As I dropped the first 30lbs, I changed a bit of my "diet" plan, but the overall concept still sticks with me today.

After losing my weight, even my mom tried it, and has lost the 20ls she was hording.

Not every diet plan is right for every person, but this one is the only that has ever worked for me. Even my bloodwork shows a dramatic improvements in cholesterol and triglyceride levels.

If you find something, such as weight watchers, that works for you and shows results. GREAT! KEep it up. A lot of people do GREAT on WW. Just not me. LOL

If you want to hear my two cents at any time, just let me know.

Jennifer :)
