CONGRATS TO THE WEIGHT LOSS GANG I too have to lose before my weight gets any worse..I love Weight Watchers cause you can make of your own menu instead of those plans where you have to eat certain meals every day for a week. It's not regimented yet you see great results. The exercise and drinking water is sooo important. I wish we all lived near each other so we could have a walking club :)

My hardest part was the weekly grocery shopping. I would go down the isles and see all the things I couldn't get anymore and it was depressing.

Try planning out what you're eating before you go shopping. Make a list, and stick to it. Don't even look at that other stuff! ;)

Woohoo!! Doesn't it feel great??? I am on WW too, though I've been a little lax lately! I lost six my first week, then it slowed down a bit, but was still a decline week by week! I'm 11 pounds lighter and still going (I hope)!!

Good luck to you!!!!!

I'm in Weight Watchers also - with my Mom. :) I've lost about 17 pounds, and my mom has lost about 43. It helps that we have each other for support. We have our ups and downs, but always get back on the wagon. I haven't been journaling for the last 2 weeks cuz I've been a stress case, so I need to get back to doing that. Walking really is so important. When I walk, I lose weight - even if I haven't eaten all that great. I'm supposed to go weigh in again tomorrow (Yikes!), so maybe I'd better go take a walk now...

I agree Monique - I was at my healthiest when I was walking. Even just 3 miles a day can do it - figure out a 1 1/2 mile walk and then turn around and return - try this 4 times a week - course I have to start again. It definitely helps if you can walk with someone - makes the time go by even faster. The weather here is nasty today - a rain nor'easter. I feel like I have a support group here - this is great...;)

This may sound crazy! I need to loose weight too, like yesterday!smashicon everytime I go to the chitchat forum I see this thread and just pass by it like Im scared to read it, sort of like you have to admit it to yourself that you need to loose weight, its starting to do something that scared me, I keep thinking that I can't do it. I lost 14 lbs last year and then went on vacation and gained some back and then said heck with it. But now after reading the above posts I think I maybe able to do it. Something just made me stop and read it this time. I take my hat off to you guys for loosing the weight I know it HARD but keep it up. I think this Monday coming may be a new start for me, wish me luck!

appicon Yay, Colleen!!! appicon

That's exciting! You've done it before, so you know you can do it again. I very highly recommend going to Weight Watchers if there's one in your area. They basically teach us how to eat like "normal" people. That's my terminology, by the way - not theirs. I've always had this mentality that I'm either "on a diet" or "not on a diet". That has always gotten me in so much trouble, because it's not good to be too extreme either way. So now if I have a bad day - like today I ate pizza - oh well! I just tell myself that it's ok, because even a skinny person eats pizza now and then - just not every day, and not a whole pizza! That way, I don't just give up because of one fattening meal. As my instructor says, it's not about what you do, it's about recovering from what you do. Ok, enough. I'm sounding like a WW commercial. :p

Good luck to you!!!!!
