My 6 month old male was 49.2 lbs at weigh in before he neutering-perfectly proportioned and healthy.

His neutering dropped him to 49 lbs ;)

Addie will be 7 months on the 18th. When we weighed her in yesterday she was 50.3 lbs. When she was really young she would gain about 10 lbs a month then that settled down around 5 months. I wouldn't worry too much. Just make sure your dog gets a quality kibble.

We haven't weighed Rajah for a month or two, but when he was about 7 months he weighed approx 46lbs. (He's a male Brindle)

We also have a three year and a half year old fawn female and she only weighs about 37lbs. She is VERY small, but she eats a lot, has a high matabolism, and is very active. Anytime we ask the vet about her, she just says that Sammi is definitely on the small size, but that she is healthy for her size. She definitely doesn't want her to lose weight but.... She also mentioned that a lot of boxers are actually overweight...that a lot of people want them to be big, so they feed them more and they end up weighing 70, 80, 90 lbs, which is normally too much and bad for their joints.

I would just monitor the puppy and as long as he's eating enough, and he's active not worry about it too much...

Relax, folks -- it's like comparing the weight of 7 year old children. Some will be healthily slim, some scrawny and rangy, some solid and compact but without an inch of fat -- all individuals, perfectly normal, not worth getting a complex over.

The only "thin" worth worrying about is when the hipbones protrude or you can see the spinal column. If those are both covered and the pup is ribby, but otherwise bright and happy and energetic, it's probably just a phase -- up the food a bit (or seek a better food) but the dog is not starving, just growing quickly.

Barring major malnutrition, the pup will grow to be the size that it was destined to be from the time of conception. Your job: keep it from getting fat :)

We just went though a period where Bella grew straight up and put on very little weight. We were worried too, but just kmept on out feeding regiment. We fed her like 1/2 a cup more per day. Now she is starting to fill out. She's 6 mo and weighs 38. 3 weeks ago she weighted 27 and looked emaciated. I think they just have growth spurts and resting periods. Just make sure she gets food and she'll be fine!

I have a 2 year old fawn girl. And she is only 51lbs although that is in the weight for the standard she looks so skinny to me. My Duncan is a stout 53lbs and 14months old
