I know this thread has been dead a while, just wondering how big the dog has gotten over the past 7 months? Has it filled out nicely? I know that my pup at exactly 16 weeks weighs just under 40lbs(37.8). He is far from overweight, he is tall and thick, very muscular, and extremely agile, he can already jump on our bed!!! I know I'm not overfeeding him because of how well he moves and how muscular he is, I guess hes just a big pup, that and he will play tug of war for hours on end I'm sure adds some of the weight in muscle. Anyone else have a pupe that size at 16 weeks because our vet keeps telling us hes the biggest boxer hes seen at that age and hes been in practice for over 20 years!

our 7 month old is...

Hey there, Our 7 month old is considered "big", he was in a show this weekend competeing against mature dogs and he was as big as the females there, not quite as filled out but just as tall and proportioned. I had him weighed yesterday, he is 48 lbs. I expect him to top out at the breed standard for male.. about 65lbs. Hopefully not much more

Our Schatzie weighs 45lbs and is 9 months old. I'm not sure how big shes going to get, but she still seems so small to me. Her mother was 65lbs and her dad was 75, so I think shes going to be somewhere closer to her mothers size. However, shes fairly short, so I don't know!

Tank weighted about 50lbs when he was around 10 months to about one year. Now at 3 years old he is at 70.2lbs I always thought he was skinny when he has 60lbs so I started feeding him twice a day and now at 70lbs he starting to fill in. Looks alot better now at 70lbs.

My 16 week female weighs 16 lbs. When I brought her home at 12 weeks she only weighed 9lbs. The vet told me it really depends on what the parents looked like. Mine was sick when I brought her home so she is catching up but an adult boxer can range from 50 -100 lbs.

I wouldn't worry as long as you see consistant eating habits and with playing and exercise muscle will build with growth.

Big Boxer

My Murph is 10 months and is 65 lbs and is about 25 inches at the shoulders...I guess he's going to be a monster! He's not fat at all, he actually looks kind of skinny and you can see his ribs but he eats like crazy and the vet says he is in perfect shape....has anyone else had one this big and if so how big will he end up? The vet estimated when he is full grown he'll be about 90 lbs or so if he stays in shape. Does this sound right? Just wondering what I'm in for!!

Rocky's dad, Diesel was about that size maybe a little bigger at 16 weeks. I know his first christmas he was the same size as my brother's female, now at almost 2 he's quite a bit bigger. He grew like crazy for the first 10 months, both up and out, I think in the last year he's put on about 8 lbs.
