Wedding Cake Toppers

Awwwww, those are so cute!

I am getting married in SIX days and I wish that our cake topper was doggies! I saw those cute little dog toppers but we'd already picked bride and groom Holstein cows riding on a tractor (which is also ok because we both come from farm backgrounds). I also REALLY want to have the dogs involved but the church would not allow it. So the poochies are going to the kennel on Friday morning. I can't even have pictures taken with them. Atleast we are having a slideshow with pictures of them in it!

Hello Folks,

Well I never heard back from the company that makes the wedding cake toppers so I called them on Friday. I talked to this gal and she said they still made them and then she asked if I wanted to go ahead and place the order. I said sure where do I send in the picture for her to look at to create the topper she said oh no you don't send in a picture just tell me what they look like.........YEAH RIGHT!! I asked her atleast two times how much they were and she never answered my question so I started to describe the dogs and I was trying to give every detail where they have white etc. She said it's not going to be very detailed because it's supposed to be a whimsical item. I wanted to say whimsical my butt it's my wedding and I want them to look like my dogs. I then asked again how much they were and she never replied, by now I feel obligated to purchase since I've sat on the phone for five minutes giving her color details that she's probably not writing down. So like an idot I placed the order and then about 10 minutes later as I was surfing their website again I found the wedding cake toppers and it says "please send in a picture of your pet" I was honked!!!!:mad: So I called the company back and cancelled my order and I'll just send it in through the mail along with their pictures.

Boxers4life2001 I'm also sending in a photo copy of your boxer topper as well if it's ok with you because your boxer looks just like our Gunner except he's brindle so I'm going to put a note in there to make him look like your's! I think I'm going to have them both wear the little vest as I think it's very darling.

I know that was probably wrong of me to call back and cancel but the whole ordering process didn't feel comfortable, I felt like she got me on the phone, took the details of what the dogs looked like and then said what credit card did you want to use???? Well first I'd like to know what you are going to charge me. Ugh maybe I just frustrated with wedding planning but I want mine to turn out as cute as boxers4life2001's did.

I was also talking with my future mother-in-law about the cake and the boys and she thought it would be cute if we could get our pictures taken with them after the wedding and I asked if she was willing to help and she offered to help get them to the church or or somewhere after the wedding so Ryan and I can have our pictures taken with them!! I'm so excited, just hope it doesn't rain that day.

Marcy you did the right thing When I found the info on the web I would of called back and explained what happened to the manager. Did you get the girl's name you talked to cause I would of reported her to the manager as well. How can they expect to run a business when the employees don't know jack :rolleyes:

Anyway I think you are doing an awesome thing getting your babies as your wedding toppers :D It is also very exciting that your babies are going to be able to part of your special day and you can get your pics taken with them!!! Congrats to you on your wedding and for having an understanding MIL :p

I can't believe that stupid lady on the phone :mad: It say's right in their catalog to SEND PICTURE'S of your dog's. How in world are they supposed to have any idea what they look like by you just describing them over the phone. I think you did the right thing by canceling your order, I would have too. This is a very important day for you not to mention it's not exactly cheap to have it made. Just send in the pic's of your boy's and write down that you want them both in the vest's (no bride) I think it will look adorable. I do not mind at all that you send a copy of my picture with your order, I'm glade I was able to help you :D I hope you will be able to have your pic's taken with your boy's, I cherish the pic's I have with mine from my wedding day. We bought Chance his bow-tie at the tux shop and my mom dressed it up some by adding the white underneath (you can probably see it in my pic) If you are able to have their pic's taken with you, I would recommend the bow-tie's, they look soooooo handsome all dressed up.

You should get a catalog from them, they have alot of other cute stuff in it also.

When you get it , please post some pic's so we can see it Do you think you will still be doing the pawprints too? I bet it's gonna be so cute!!!!
