I'm planning a September 20, 2003 wedding and I'm on the search for a Boxer cake topper. Does anyone know where I could get one, or perhaps I could take a picture of our two boxers and someone could make me a cake topper. I'd like our boys to some how be a special part of our day and what better way than to be on the top of our cake.

Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Marcy

I've never seen a boxer cake topper but, maybe you could use a couple of boxer figurines to put on top.

I like the idea of using boxer figurines. That would be soooo cute!

The other idea (could look really lame though) is to take your pups to The Picture People, get their pics taken, and that place can make cut out stand-up type things from the pictures.

Or maybe you could find somebody who makes figurines, and have something custom made that will look like your pups.

(We bought blown glass polar bear figurines and added a bow-tie to one and a veil to the other. I was so happy with it!)

I had the same thought! Our only solution was to find figurines and put the on the cake topper. It was a cute touch to add to the cake. I also made a collage (sp?) with pictures of him growing up and pictures of me growing up and pictures of us together. I had engagement pics taken with the dogs and had them on a collage so people could see our girls. Also, my photographer made wallets of the engagement pics with the dogs and I am sending them out in our thank you notes. People have told me how nice it was to see our "whole" family. Good luck and I hope you find something.:)

Great idea!! When I got married I got a glass figurine of my terrier and placed it on a layer of the cake. It looked so cute. Just had to share!:D

Hey Bridgit or Cheryl - do either of you have a picture of your wedding cake with the toppers you have described? Sounds really cute.

Since my wedding is so recent I don't get my pictures until next week. My step-mom made my cake and I think that she might have taken them off before we did the cake cutting and that is when I think all the pictures where taken of us and the cake alone. I remember when we did the cutting that they were no longer on the top cake. (I think she took them off in case we bumped the table and they fell off in the other cakes or broke) I will let you know next week when I pick up my proofs and e-mail you if there is one.:)

That sounds like a really nice idea. I agree with everyone else's ideas. Maybe, find boxer figurines or standup pictures. What a wonderful thing to have your boxer babies there on your special day.;)

I had one!!!!

I got married in April 2001. Ever since I was alittle girl I always dreamed of my dogs (my babies) being in my wedding. Well, the church did not allow them to be inside so I had to come up with a way that my 2 special babies could be included (honored) in my special day! I LOVE pawprints so I picked out a wedding cake and had them put pastel colored pawprints all over it. I found a place that can custom make cake toppers for you. I sent in 2 pictures 1 of Chance (my boxer) and 1 of Candy (my mixed breed dog I had at the time before she went to the bridge) They make these little clay-type figurines that look like your dogs from the picture. Chance was dressed as the groom and Candy was dressed as the bride. It turned out WONDERFUL, I was so pleased with it. So I had my doggy cake topper to go with my pawprint cake, no it's not your typical wedding cake but it was diffently me and everyone who knows me said it was perfect. I also got 4 little doggy picture frames and put Chance, Candy, Howie, and Mandy's (Howie and Mandy both went to the bridge a couple years before) I placed 2 pictures on each side of the cake and sprinkled flowers petals around them. It looked really cute. I was so happy I was able to include them in our special day in someway. I also had my picture taken with them before we went to the church, Chance wore a little bow-tie (he looked sooo cute)

The placed I ordered my topper from has a website it's www.PuttinOnTheDog.com You can check it out and see if they still make them. You can pick a breed or they can custom make one from a picture. If you want I can try to send you picture of mine so you can see what it looks like, let me know! I hope this helps you out, Good Luck :)

Attn: Boxers4life2001 that sounds so lime me as well. I've been a huge dog lover ever since I was a little kid. I would love to see a picture of your cake topper. If you'd like feel free to send it to me via a private email. I've sent an email to the company that you ordered from and I'm hoping they are still doing that.

My maid of honor is putting together a slide show for us and we are definately having pictures of us and our kids it's going to be so neat. I like the idea of getting your picture taken with them in your dress but my youngest Sarge is a little devil evilicon and I can just see him wanting to give mommy a big ol' hug and next I'll be the one with the paw prints.

I look forward to seeing your pictures.

Thanks for all the replies,
