Hey everyone....
I'm getting married May 14th. I think we have everything ready to go. Is there anything that anyone would advise for the big day to help make things run smoothly? Or any advise on anything? I'm in "freaking" out stage I think. I'm to the point where I kind of understand where those women are coming form that once told me to just "run to Vegas!" Any advise/input on anything would be appreciated! Have a good one!

Congratulations! I just got engaged and we have tentatively decided August 26th. I am also tempted just to go to Vegas.

Let me know how it goes! Good Luck!

If you're staying in a hotel the night of your wedding, remember to pack an overnight bag. I forgot mine and had to have my parents bring it over :) Congratulations and I hope everything goes well!

Don't over do it on the small details, like silverware patterns..etc.. no one is going to really pay attention to all that.
Make sure you have a great photographer and don't drink too much at the reception :)
Remember the day is about you and your husband not about pleasing everyone else!

Relax and enjoy! Don't stress over the details - nobody will remember most of them in the end anyways. Its your day so enjoy it.

thanks!

Thanks for all the reasuring advise! We are having a very low key reception. Very fun, but noting fancy. Fried chicken baked beans andmasked potatos and all the fixin's and dancing till the wee hours. I am going in to change my flowers again for the 3rd time this saturday...wrong colors...oh well it will all be over soon!

That's really true. It's your day - let your family and friends take care of the rest. Just relax and have fun :) Oh - and dont' forget to eat at the reception!! My new hubby and I were so busy that we totally forgot to eat! Luckily for us, the wedding coordinator (at the reception hall) packed a bag of food for us "to go". That was a real blessing as we were starving once the festivities ended and there was NO food left :D

Looking back 10 year ago...what i remember is just enjoying the day.
Take a breath and ENJOY every single moment...the day goes so fast...in a blink of an eye..its over...Just enjoy...and like written before...dont sweat the small stuff
I left my flowers on the curb in the park where we took our pictures....so when we got in the hall...i had NO flowers....quess what...who cares....we were so happy...now we look back on the pictures and laugh

I got married last summer and my best advice to you, is to enjoy every moment. Let your family handle everything that day and you and your hubby enjoy!!!! I am serious, this does work, and it worked for me and my day was great, I have no regrets. It goes by so fast, and don't stress to much in the upcoming weeks, it really all comes together and will be perfect!!!!

Make every single effort you can not to worry or stress out. As the day approaches, little things will seem like mountains. Just try to stay calm and try not to care so much.
Eat, drink, be merry with your guests. Remember, they are there to celebrate you and your hubby, you should enjoy the expirence as much as possible- there aren't too many days of your life when you can feel like a movie star. Besides, you don't want to look back and think- wish we had ate with our family, wish we could've said hi to Aunt Emma, wish...
Good Luck and have a great day!
