Super Boxer
Hey Megan, haven't hear any updates lately but I hope you're doing ok. Maybe a boxer get together this weekend would do some good. Brutus and I will be around if you're up for it.

15/30

Megan, I know you are not in Nebraska, but you may want to have that lawyer check to see if this applies to your state too. In Nebraska, there is at 15/30 day legal thing that says the Landlord must present you with this 15/30 notice that basically says 15 days to correct the problem or 30 days to get out. I got one once when my husky was going through a howling phase and had my uncle (an attorney) explain it too me. It is something that the Nebraska Law says they have to do before kicking someone/something out. My heart and my bf's heart pours out to you. It is terrible of them and I hope you do go public as well as everyone else that it affects a 3 day notice is extremely short and horrible and I would think that the 3 day notice is not in accordance with most state laws that require the 15/30 notice. Oh good luck and please keep us posted..

Well, darn it, I noticed that you are in Nebraska and went in search of the information for you.Apparently the 15/30 was for that company not the state. I looked up some of the Nebraska State Laws and it appears that Nebraska does allow 3 day notices from what I was reading. It looked like there is a process.
1) Notice of the problem
2) Lease Violation notification with due time to resolve or vacate
3) Then court ordered vacate issued.

It stinks big time almost seems like this company skipped to step 2 but in Nebraska there was a 3 day notice, 5 day, and 30 day notice but I could not find anything that said what defined what could be used and when.

Big time hugs going to you. Sorry I couldnt be more helpful

HaloCortana, I think you are enormously helpful - this gives some really good insight as to what to search for, and just knowing how other states handle it still could give some leverage. Megan, I'd use this info any way you can. Certainly go public - lots of dog owners out there, judges included. ;)

Completely Boxer Crazy
Hi guys, sorry I haven't been on in a few days. Its been a really rough week. The apartment company refused to let us transfer the lease anywhere else. We were thinking of getting a second place and just staying there with Lucky, but since I lost my job, it is now out of the question. Lucky is still at Tom's parents house. He seems to be doing fine there, but it breaks my heart when we go see him. He could care less that we are there. He just wants to play with them, and doesn't come to us when he is called or play with us. But, we have no other choice. We can't go see him every day either, it is too far, and gas is too much.

I have been searching for jobs like crazy and have sent apps into several temp agencies along with a bunch of other resumes to companies. I have an interview Sunday for a full time nanny position, so hopefully that will go well. I promise I will try to keep you guys more updated. Thank you thank you thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers.
