Just giving you another update....Lucy is very sick, ad to take her to the vets again......She is being kept there and put on IV's to make her better!!
My heart is breaking for her, poor little girl..... I will keep you all posted!!!

well the vet just called me.... I started to panic, got hubby to answer the phone......I mean it was 10pm on a sunday night..... he said lucy's temp had gone down some and then back up a little, she is taking well to the fluids & meds, tomorrow is another day.. my heart goes out to you my little lucy....

Ok well the vet had said when we took her for her first appointment the day after we got her, that she had a couple of stomach viruses, ear mites, and the beginnin of kennel cough, hubby and I fell to pieces about it all, he ave meds, she seemed to be ok, then fell really sick, hubby took her yesterday to the vets and he had given her a shot with fluids as she had become de-hydrated, she came home and was sick sick sick, the vet had been on the phone with us a few times durin the day to see if she was eating or drinking, she hadnt...I had tried to make her eat, went to the store a few times to buy different stuff...still no luck..I gave her water with a syringe.... so the vet called back at 3pm and told me to bring her in....
I cant remember if I have forgotten somethings here in my post...please forgive me as i cant seem to think straight right now!!!

I'm so sorry to hear that your new little baby girl is so ill. Sending lots of healing and hopeful vibes that she improves and is on the road to recovery very soon. Poor baby...and poor mommy and daddy. This is hard on all of you. Hugs.

Just to give you an update..... I have called my vets a couple of times today and Lucy is about the same, they had put her in a breathing thingy called a nebulator, to help with her breathing.... she is keeping the fluids down and has not been sick.... she has p'd so thats good, but really no big change...the vet said it will take time, and that it could go either way, her immune system has to kick in with the meds......
They tried hand feeding her, but apparently all she wanted was hugs.... Thats all I wish I could do....

Well just another update...
I get a few calls a day from the vets...which is so great!!!

Ok this is whats going on.....
They are putting Lucy in a Nebulator to help her breathe.... its kinda like what asmatic's would use, just so it opens up all the air ways and help her breathe....
They got the blood work back and have adjusted her meds accordingly....
They had also tested for distemper....... I went to see her and cuddled with my baby and the vet went through all the results with me and the x-rays too.
Our biggest concern was the distemper.... the results came back as borderline.... not a yes she has it or no she dosent.... but borderline... the vets then has called the people which done the testing and had a conference.... they said she is borderline as some of the symptoons are the same as kennel cough, it could aslo be due to the vaccines, meds and how sick she is.... so we have to wait!!!
She did eat a little yesterday through a syringe though, but was keeping it down, which is good.

I have been praying so hard that she dosent have distemper....it can lead into severe medical problems..... seizures, neurological etc etc

I will give you another update as soon as I find something out....
