Congratulations!! Isn't it wonderful to have a place you really like that has no bad memories?
Take care, and just don't worry over Spirit. I'm not technically supposed to have more than one dog in my place either, but I never said anything when I adopted Indy, and nobody bothers me. I also foster, so there are sometimes three or four dogs in my place.

Congrats on the new home! How exciting. I am so happy that you are finally away from the landlords crazy girlfriend and that you get to keep both doggies. I was so worried when you posted that you might have to get rid of Spirit. I'm delighted that everything worked out for the best in the end! Congrats again! Please explain how a house can have seven levels!! I hope no one gets lost!!

I was so happy to read that you were able to keep both of your babies. That is just so excellent and to be out of the nasty house on top of that is even more better I'm wishing you all the luck in your new place and that everyone will adjust well. Things do eventually turn around!!!

Thank you all!! We love it here and it is now looking more like home for us. Things are pretty well in their place. I am overwhelmed with the feeling of happiness and independence! It's a new home waiting for some new memories to be made! This is the very first time in my life that I have ever lived on my own, meaning no man..and I LOVE it!!
Marybeth....it's a lot of stairs...trust me!! I will lose weight for sure..or my mind, which ever comes first! :p Let me explain...
front entrance..laundry room...closet (huge!!)
down stairs to basement (teenagers room)...or
upstairs to dining room and kitchen...back door
upstairs to living room and patio (balcony)
upstairs to bathroom and sons room... (only 1 bathroom!!)
upstairs to my room...
upstairs to daughters room (we call the Penthouse!)
Most of the stairs are 5-6 steps.
The fur-babies are GREAT!! There is plenty of sunshine in this house so they don't have to lay ontop of each other to share a patch of sunlight! I mentioned before (I think) that my daughters school is about 50ft from our backdoor!! Soooo convenient. However, she is giving me some grief now like it was her first day in school! She cries and doesn't want me to leave or she wants to come home with me. The teacher says it's an adjustment for her now because I am alot closer than before (she was bused)! Today, she will stay at school for lunch because she gives me too much of a hard time about going back to school. The teacher said I should try not to make myself visible at recess time or lunch, as that will only encourage her to want to come home!
All in all...we are happy!

You sound so happy and boy do you deserve it!! House sounds amazing and you should be losing 20lbs in the first month . So happy all of your babies are settling in. As for your daughter, it may just take a little time after all the changes that have gone on.
