We Are In Our New Home!!

Hello everybody! I just wanted you all to know that we have moved, FINALLY, and we are so excited and happy to be here in our new home! The house is quite nice...7 levels!! :eek: The kids all have their own rooms, much to the relief of my 18 and 13yr old sons!! Spirit and Xena are adjusting well. Spirit not so easily as Xena, but he's good!
I still have just a few things left at the old place to get and I am outta there for good! I refused to pay a full months rent because of the fact that the landlord has ignored 3 letters since December requesting repairs. He has done nothing. When I moved the majority of my stuff out on Friday, the ones helping me move were disgusted with the MOLD in that house!!! I gave a registered letter for my notice to vacate by May 31st. My "friendlier" neighbors have informed me that the landlords gf has entered my house and has also removed things from my back porch and put them in her garage!!! She has no right to be in there, I don't think anyway!! Geesh, I would love to charge her with something...teach her a lesson!! ARRRGGHH...she gets to me!
Soon she will be just a bad memory...a bad experience that I have learned from!
Next weekend we are supposed to have a house warming/birthday party (mine :D )! I am really looking forward to it! My friends and family have been great to me and the kids during this move...during the last 6 months actually!! Things are looking better...life is good!

I'm glad you are all out and happy! I don't think the gf can go in there without permission. It's still your place until May 31, so technically she's trespassing and stealing if it's your stuff she's putting in her garage.

I agree, especially if its your stuff shes taking. Im glad to hear you're settling in well...and so far Spirit is doing ok

That is great that you are in a new place! We just moved into our new house after living in a pretty nasty old house for 6 years. The old house used to be rented out and was never taken care of, I am a neat freak so I had a really hard time there. Moving to a nicer place really makes you appreciate it though, huuh?!! We built so we knew we wouldn't have to deal with mold and all that. I am sorry the people at your old place were like that. I don't blame you for being mad, they should not be in your place until you are gone! But better times are here, and you don't have to worry about that anymore!!! Enjoy!

We also just moved from a not-so -splendid neighborhood into a wonderful home! Does make you very grateful and I know you have a permanent smile on your face right now!!
