We went through a dozen bags of candy and still had kids coming at 8:15! Our neighbor came by at about 8, he bought the house next door last November, and said "why didn't you tell me we'd need 15 bags of candy?!?" We have a guy across the street, a few houses down that works for one of the studios and has an elaborate haunted house every year. Maybe that's why we have so many trick or treaters? Once we gave out the left-over red, silver and green kisses left over from Christmas, we brought in the pumkins and turned out the lights. Halloween is alive and well in Southern California!

We finally had 2 at 9:30 at night. What a bummer! The dad was dressed up more than the kids too, and neither said trick or treat! What a write off!

I didnt take my kids out lastnight.
My x had my daughter on Sat night, he lives in a small town near us and they all trick-or-treated then.
I think there was just SOOOO much going on this weekend on Friday and Saturday, that is why there were no, or not many, trick-or-treaters on Sun. I took the kids to two Halloween parties, one the church did on Friday and one the grocery store did in there parking lot on Sat afternoon. We also trick-or-treated at the dorms of our local collage on Wed.(that is always when they do it)
By lastnight we were all Halloweened out! We just baked halloween cookies and stayed home. It was easier for me to take the kids to everything all weekend and save Sunday for getting rested up for school the next day.

We get less kids every year, everyone is getting older. It was a beauty of a day and they could of came all day. They did not come till 4 - 6 pm, while we were eating dinner. I guess a total of 20 kids. I am sorry, but most of the kids do not say thank you at all. One kid still had his bag opened after I gave him candy, looking for more & NO THANK YOU. No manners at all.nonoicon.

Halloween was a mega bummer this year. We maybe had 30 kids on saturday and NONE on sunday!!! I have so much candy left over :(

I had this one kid- dressed as spongebob- i was giving out three pieces of candy to each kid- he actually got MAD at me!! "well the house down the street is giving whole hand fulls!!!" I gave him 3 pieces and said "if you dont like it, dont trick or treat here next year"!! I was shocked! this kid was only maybe 10 or 11 years old!!

Well, I'm glad I didnt go all out on candy. Im going for bah-humbug for halloween next year. Maybe start a new tradition for my kids :)

Well the rain held off here and it was quite mild, we handed out soft drinks outside and we had just our T shirts on. We had quite a few, they came by car loads!,skate boards, roller blades, even two little tykes in a battery powered car, so cute! we bought cases of grape, orange, cola, gingerale, lemon lime, rootbeer. We always get close to 100 kids here. I did notice though that there were a lot more older ones than little tykes but they were very polite.
