I feel your pain.
It took a year or three before I took Dakota's winter coat down and put it away.
I could still smell her in her coat. Wife said I was weird, but it was comforting. She was our first boxer. It was a shock to lose her at only 6 yrs old.

Oh, Slobberchops - I can completely identify with your experience... HUGS to you! I still have Ben's bright yellow jacket with black trim at the collar... After 4 years, it still has a faint "Eaux de Ben" along with some hair sticking to it. As I post this, I am smiling at my memory of calling him my little (80-lab) bumble bee and his eager willingness to put it on. We had some great walks & hikes before DM took his back legs away... miss him & his sweet "smile". loveicon

I honestly know exactly how you feel. The first time we vacuumed after our black lab passed away, we saved his hair from the vacuum cleaner in a baggie just so we could preserve his smell......

Completely Boxer Crazy
I know some people would think all these posts are crazy but I totally get it. I haven't lost a boxer yet but my Lacy is beginning to show lighter hair around her black mask. So, her silver face is slowly beginning and I dread thinking of well you know. I don't want to think about it. I think you guys are great to want to preserve your boxer's scent. Smells help us remember I think I read some where. You are the BEST!!!
