I just thought of something. My mom was bit by someone once.(I know long story, not important) She had to have a tenus (sp) shot. Does that apply to dog as well?

What an awful woman!! There is just no excuse for what she did to your poor Luka! It must have been a terrible shock to you, after thinking that you knew her and trusted her. Oooh, I would be SO mad!! Like gregory'sdad posted, if she felt threatened, she could have used a muzzle - I've seen a dog muzzled at the groomer at the vet hospital, and didn't think anything of it....just in case a furbaby isn't crazy about getting groomed, why should a groomer take the risk of getting bitten. I hope you do something about this - this is totally unacceptable, and you could be preventing similar things or worse happening to someone else's baby. Keep us posted.

Poor Luca...I am not sure what I would have done...I mean how crazy is that to just bite a dog. Do they really understand why they have been bitten? No, he was probably scared that she was a pod person. I am hoping something equally horrible happens to her nose.

I think Kerry Blue terriers are very cute and do not have a problem with Luca not being a boxer. I am an all around animal lover! Give Luca some kisses from me!

Well I had to do a search on Kerry Blue Terriers, must admit I had no idea what that was. I have seen them before now that I saw the pic. Just about as opposite of a boxer as you can get!
Oh well! We're all friends around here!

I know! Return the barfed up sock to her, then BITE her nose. Just in case there was more than one sock swallowed, better keep a close eye on him. It could cause problems with his digestive system.

GGRRRRRR!! I agree with Cami-- hubby would be posting bail for me,too !! But I think I'd have done more than bite her nose One thought,if she lists herself as a "groomer" I'd lodge a complaint with the BBB too.

Luka is a Kerry Blue??? I soooo fell in love with "Mick" when he came onto the show circuit. I'd never seen one until then and he took the show ring by storm.
An absolutely gorgeous boy, but he's retired now and one of his sons' is doing well in the ring, too.

I wonder if this person knows how nasty a human bite is and how dangerous they are. I would sure keep an eye out on his nose for infection. Lots of hugs and kisses from Abbie and Jake.

Can you imagine how Luca was treated before you got him since this was his breeder? I would report her as she is probably mistreating the other dogs that she grooms, you would be doing a lot of good for all those dogs and maybe for the ones yet to be born that she intends to sell. Give Luca kisses and hugs from Shakira and myself.

Now, that did cross my mind. Her house was a little messy, but she told me she was renting and I figured it must be hard to keep a clean house with a litter of 6 puppies. But now that this has happened, I am starting to wonder just how the beginning of his life was. I think the Better Buisness Bureau is a good idea. I'm going to look into that.

It is unfortunate, I was so looking forward to having a great relationship with her. And that's just the thing- Luka doesn't bite- he does that puppy thing, but it's soft. I think he was trying to bite at whatever she was using to clean his ears cause he does that when I brush him in the morning too.

What baffels me is why would you try to teach a dog that biting is wrong by biting? It probably made him want to bite more! :confused:
Luka is so cute! I love all his little manerisms- and I can totally identify with the nubby wigglings- Kerry's have a small tail (docked at birth) and it is my favorite part of him. Nothing is better than seeing his little tail going fast (people joke he's going to fly- like it's a propeller:D)

Luka sends a big lick to all his Boxer friends and says thanks for suporting him against his mean former "guardien". :rolleyes:

Well, yes, in looks. They are about 10lbs less than than the Boxer standard. They have the curiosity and playfulness that Boxers have and but can be fiesty. They are active- they like walking, hiking, swimming, etc. They can have a strong prey drive and can be loving w/ people but agressive with other dogs- altho Luka isn't and that might be because I've been very dedicated to expose him to lots of dogs and situations (not nessacarily meeting dogs but seeing and whaching them). They are good at problem solving, very good guard dogs, and need patience and firmess with training. Also, no shedding and hypo allergenic.

Oh! And the sock! Might have been my fault- we were over at mu soon to be ex's house about 4 days before and I think he got it there- hubby does alot of projects. It was the only time Luka wasn't under exact supervision. He was running around like a crazy dog exploring- it was his first time there. Hubby keeps a messy house.
