Austin's Mom
Boxer Insane
He's doing ok, thank you for asking. I spoke to the oncol. yesterday, he wanted me to call him and let him know how Aus is doing on the lower dose of pred. He stopped peeing in the house and seems more up and alert, so I'm happy about that. So he wants to keep him on that dose until he sees him on the 9th and we will go from there. I asked him if my dog is dying on me here, he assured me he's not, he's just super senstivie to the steroids, and with the type of cancer he has there are a lot of other options if he can't tolerate this med. I know this won't be forever, he'll come off these thing eventually, but I want him to feel good and be happy. He's hungry all the time and all he wants to do is eat! That hasn't been good for his weight. I'm also wondering if he's picking up on my nervousness and anxiety and I'm making him nervous? He still won't go for a walk, either, and that's something he always loved to do. It's almost like he's afraid.
