From a law enforcement agent.
Well first of all, It was a barbadoe lamb (kinda looks like a goat), they are tan and black. The Deputy told me it was goats, but he pointed at a lamb! haha. And we live in the middle of sheep and goat country.
As far as shooting in the leg. The agency I work for now, Homeland Defense, formerly Department of Justice, trains us to shoot center mass of your target and shoot until the threat stops. Sorry to say this, but I am a firearms instructor for the US govt. and I agree with this. Although we do not shoot to kill, we do shoot until the threat stops. I can cite examples, but that would be a different forum. I kind of want to tell the Sheriff's deputy that she is alive just for the principle of it. I might, but first I'll take her to another ranch in another county where she'll thousands of acres to run! Maybe. Well I'm leaving to San
Antonio to find another boxer for the kids. Rescue has none, maybe a mutt at the Humane Society. Be back Sunday night.
