Well, it looks like things aren't as great as I thought.
Last night Bridget had some watery diarrhea and seemed to be trying to go to the bathroom and nothing was happening over and over again.
When she came in, she was retching again as if to try and throw up.
Now it is 3AM and she has been up every hour to go out and trying again and again and nothing happens.
It is Sunday and only the emergency vet is open. I may have to bring her in.
I'll keep you posted.

Oh poor Bridget!! And poor you having to get up so often and seeing her this way. Please let us know how she is doing. Sending **healing vibes** to Bridget and lots of hugs.

Unfortunately, both Bridget and I have been up most of the night.
Now that there is light outside, I can see what is happening when I let her out.
She is having very runny diarrhea still. She has been squating in many areas and I guess trying to get everything out. She has also been trying to eat grass.
I gave her the boiled chicken and rice until yesterday evening. Then I gave her some of her regular dry food as the vet instructed.
It's too bad that this happened on a Sunday when her vet isn't in, but what can you do?

I don't know, but this has been going on for a while now. I would be worried. Maybe she has some kind of infection going on in her body. How is she acting otherwise? Is she drinking any water yet? She can't go much longer with her symptoms, especially if she is not hyrdrating.

Dexter got runny diaharrea from the chicken and rice he only did well on the 99% ff ground cooked turkey and baked potato (which I cooked in the microwave and peeled). The rice went right through him.
Is there blood in the diaharrea?

Yes, this has been going on since early Thursday.It started out with vomiting though. Bowel movements were normal then.
She is acting fine, very alert and very hungry and pretty active. I also caught her drinking from her water dish. She is defintely not dehydrated.
My husband told me not to go to the vet yet and to see if it clears on it's own.
She hasn't had a bout of diarrhea since around 9AM this morning. I've been fasting her since last night. I didn't see any blood in the diarrhea.
Oh boy, Christy, I hope it isn't the chicken and rice. I just cooked up another batch to feed her after her fast. Now I'm not sure what to do? Maybe I'll just wait and see what the vet says tomorrow.
How long after the last bout of diarrhea do you start to feed again usually?

If she hasn't eaten since 9 this morning and seems hungry I would go ahead and feed her just a little bit. You could always try adding some potato to the chicken and rice you've already prepared and see if that helps. I'm glad to hear she had no blood in her stool and her spirits are good. If you do see a little pinkish blood in her stool that will just probably be from irritation.
Please let us know how it goes after she eats again.

I'm sorry to hear that Bridget is still having tummy problems. Glad to hear that she is drinking water now. The bland food is good, and until she stabilizes, small frequent meals are better for her. Please keep us posted. More healing and feel good vibes going out for your baby girl.
