Anyone else thinking about taking thier babies trick or treating? The BF and I are going out tomorrow to get Giddys costume..a chile pepper or a pig, we haven't decided yet. We were just gonna sit on the porch with him and hand out candy but since he's gonna have such a cute costume I'm thinking about taking him trick or treatin' around the neighborhood. How do you think the neighbors will react when we ring the bell and say trick or treat and they see a Boxer standing there and not a child!? Will the dog owners give him treats? I really want to do this but BF is afraid of people reactions...what do you all think? Do you think this is a good idea or do you think people will think we are nuts!?

I think it is a great idea. My adult daughter and her bf took my dog out and received a warm welcome (and treats) from all the neighbors. Get out and enjoy - Cathy

my two stay here and help me give out the candy, they are not forced too, of course, but they loved it last year and the kids all loved it too

I'm taking J.C. with when our 2 boys go trick or treating this year. His costume is pretty simple, a hooded jacket and small pair of boxing gloves. I don't expect him to get much for treats but I'm sure some people will think it's cute.

Oh, I would love to dress up my boys and have them help hand out candy. However at this house we do not get any trick or treaters! Our houses are on larger lots so they are really spread out. The kids (including mine) like to go into the neighborhoods where the homes are closer together so they can get more candy with a shorter walk!!!

Coco is going trick or treating with me and the kiddos. I probably won't dress up but my husband does. He stays home to hand out the candy. I will be walking with a cowgirl, a cheetah, and "Jason". What a combination huh? lolol My son probably won't hang out with us girls too much. He generally runs into a group a friends and they all take off around the neighborhood but he'll grace us with his presence for awhile anyway. My daughter asked me this morning if I thought Coco would get treats...I said probably as long as she doesn't freak out on anyone. I'm curious to see how this goes. She doesn't think much of hubby or son's costume, she tends to bark and growl at it so...we may not be able to walk her around if she gets to onary with all the ghouls that will be prowling the neighborhood.

If you keep the dog on leash I'm sure none of your neighbors will object and most will think it is soooooooo cute !

Be sure to take an extra "goodie bag" for the dog! That way you get twice the candy

I hope I didn't mislead some of you guys...we aren't taking any kids with us! Just Kevin and I with our Giddy (leased and in costume of course! LOL Now I'm starting to feel nuts....and of I'm feeling that way about myself, what the neighbors gonna think? smashicon

I ended up taking Quinsi with me. I put a red cape on him and some devil horns. My daughter just happened to go as a devil girl so he looked like her side kick  He did fairly well considering. One of the people that live a couple blocks over thought he was so cute they took a picture of him (I even forgot to take a picture) lol

I told them that his name is Equisu-Ocha which happens to mean "White Devil" and it suited him rather well

Maybe I'll find those people and see if they'll email me the picture :D
