My 2 are definatly toilet drinkers. Our boxers LOVE toilet water. I HATE going into the bathroom, walking on wet spots or sitting on wet spots. I know it is dirty water and I hate it. Also, Payton has a peeing issue, and when the toilet seat is up (she goes bathroom to bathroom to find an open seat) she will drink and drink....and then PEE. Most of the time it is in our bed when she is asleep. We have found that we have to take her water away and limit her to control her peeing issue. This is getting better....but...

People come over and ALWAYS leave the toilet seat and lid up (my dad especially). I am looking for a sign that says nicley to put the toilet seat and lid down, but that is funny too. Do you remember those signs "I dont swim in your toilet, don't pee in my pool"? I want something like that about the seat and lid. It is in DH's bathroom (also our guest bathroom), so it has to be catchy.
Any ideas??? I am just going to print it off on our color printer, and then frame it and put it above the toilet. I thought about putting our girls pic on it, maybe with their head in the toilet? I dunno...any ideas?

My oldest boy drinks out of the toilet when someone doesn't put the lid down. And he seems to have the same issues with too much water and peeing! I have to limit his water intake. I always close the bathroom door to keep my boys out of there. I wish I knew of a cute sign for you...I'll be on the lookout!

My toilet seat has to definitely stay down. But it's pretty easy since I live by myself. I have heard of seat lids that play a tune when up. I think the device is to help kids potty train... who knows, it may work on the older variety, too. :)

When my ex-bf lived with me, before my Pearl came to me, he would always leave the seat up. Well... one day he did a big ____ and didn't flush!! My Siamese got in there and had a hay day, scooping and flinging it all over! You know what bf said? One of the neighbor kids must have come in and did it! He finally admitted to it but guess who had to clean it up? Yep. me.

I would say, daily, I thank the good lord Luka has not discovered the toilet water yet! I had some friends w/ an Akita that was OBESESSED with the t. water and I was determined to not let Luka get that way!

Luka doesn't go in the bathroom unless I am in there and when I am, normally he stays in the hallway (unless I am actually ON the toilet, then that is time for his neck massage
I keep the BR door closed when I'm at work.

I keep the toilet seat down cuz I have a little boy who will try to play in the toilet if its open. The only time Eve drank from the toilet was when I was getting her spayed and had to cut off her water, I heard some slurping in the bathroom and there she was taking a nice big drink!

What coinicidence, I just came out of the bathroom and noticed my toilet was completely dry...no water at all in it! There were no wet spots or anything on the floor like there usually are when one of the dogs decide to help themselves. While standing there trying to figure out what was going on Tucker came in, put his nose in the toilet then looked up at me because it was empty. I guess I figured out where all the water went! I flushed it and it filled back up with water, so it had to be a dog or two who figured the toilet should be empty. He tried to drink out of it again, but I stopped him and put the lid down like it is suppose to be.
That is the reason I don't use the cleaning tablets that go in the tank, don't want to chance anyone getting sick.
I actually thought about buying one of these b/c I thought it was cute but it looks too darn small. http://cgi.ebay.com/DOG-OR-CAT-REFI...444249835QQcategoryZ20740QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
My dogs drink out of a bucket because I am sick of stepping in the puddles those big lips leak while they are drinking.
