I sent Toby to the bridge on Wed Oct 22d.

He had gotten so sick from his cancer. The vet said the chemo would no longer help after 7 1/2 months of treatment. He put up a galant fight.

He started to not eat again and was on his way to losing alot of weight for the 3d time since he started with his battle against the lymphoma. He was shivering in the morning from his body temperature being below normal. The chemo had damaged his liver to the point he was starting to jaundice. He was starting to have nerve damage so that his walk was no longer normal and would act a bit confused at times. The cancer had gotten into his brain.

He never stopped wagging his tail and never disobeyed me to the end, even when I told him he had to stay at the vet's office. I was not strong enough to stay with my little boy for the end. I just could not take it. After so many months of caring for him while he was ill, I could not bear the thought of seeing him go.

He is painfree now and running around at Rainbow Bridge. But my pain will last longer than his. We will miss him dreadfully around the house. He was an awesome companion and he was my baby.

Run free Toby knowing how much I loved you. You now know how hard it was for me to let you go. Be happy with Buster who has gone before you. I am sure he was there to meet you. Your resting place will be next to Buster where we can see you both, near the pool where you loved to swim everyday in the summer. Goodbye my little guy.

We lost our Nessea to cancer, she fought it for a year. I totally understand the pain in watching your bestfriend deteriorate. Boxers are such great friends until their last breaths - they truly just want to make you happy. I hope you find peace, I know that is what Toby wants.

Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!

Keeping you and your family in my thoughts. I'm so very sorry for your loss. It is a pain that far too many of us know. Take comfort in knowing your babies are palying together at The Bridge waiting to see you again.

Run forever pain free at The Bridge sweet Toby!
