TO Cropped Ears or Natural?

Greetings all,
Just joined this club but have been a Boxer girl for the last 10 years or so..So here is the great Debate Natural Ears -VS- Cropped Ears what's the popular vote ????

I have an old as dirt fawn Boxer who is begining to fail. I dread the thought of my life with out him as do my children he has been here all their lives. Back when I got Beanie it was unheard of not to cropp the ears and now I see natural ears every where..I am totally for the idea of not cropping as I can't imagine the pain I put my poor baby through just for looks. I would love that big lug no matter what!!! It is his personality,his undying affection and crazy antics that I look at, and the way he looks at me sometimes makes me just wanna cry because I feel like sometimes I can see right down into his soul and the only thing there is tenderness and love. So the next Boxer I take into my family will have big floppy ears..The way I look at it..It's just more to love lovicon

Shy's ears are natural... i prefer them that way.. But you gotta love the cropped look as well.. they look so stern and attentive.. but the look of natural is so sweet and innocent...

Hi June, Welcome to Boxer World. Sorry to hear about your baby. I lost my big boy in March. I still get upset that he's not here. I just came across a towel that had holes in it. It was one he played tug of war with after his bath.
Enjoy all the days you have with your baby.
I voted for floppy, I think they look less intimidating with floppy ears. They also have a lot of ear, can't imagine cutting most of it OFF! IMO

I voted for cropped ears, as my Molly has them. I love the look of a cropped boxer and will continue to do so for every boxer I own.

I personally prefer natural ears. I wouldn't want to put my baby or myself through the pain and hassle of having them cropped. Not to mention, I think boxers look better with natural ears, but it is a personal preference.

Even though I like both looks, I prefer the cropped look. But I also think it depends on the dog. I don't think our Willow would look right with cropped ears.

I voted for the cropped ears.

I personally prefer the cropped look on a boxer. Both of mine have thiers cropped, and I have to say that neither of them showed ANY signs of pain or discomfort.

It's a personal choice, and I am glad that we still have the choice.

If you do the cropping, keep in mind that it's alot of work, and you have to be prepared to live with the possibility of the crop failing...

My first boxer had natural ears so I still have a soft spot for them too. We are the only ones in our area that have our boxers cropped. All of the other boxer owners left the ears natural, so we get a few negative comments, but that's OK.
