Yep...this year the tree lasted only 3 days! I just got a call from DH that the dogs attacked the tree while he was asleep. GRRRRRRR. I will have to clean it up when I get home. I guess I will have to buy a fence or something to keep them out of it. I am so upset. Why do they feel the need to kill my pretty tree? I had to buy a new one after last years adventure (pics in gallery)....I dont want to have to buy a new on this year too....grrrr. Glad I bought some more cotten balls this weekend....

Last year, I didn't even put one up. I figured it would freak ABBY out, or like you say, she would attack it and tear it up. I haven't decided on whether or not to risk getting one this year.

I put up our tree on Thursday night but didn't decorate it until Friday night. Good thing because while I was out shopping dh was downstairs watching tv he heard this weird noise. He thought that our son was messing with the tree, but to his suprise Spike had pulled the tree across the living room floor! I sprayed some of the bitter apple spray on the whole entire tree before decorating it - I can only hope it will keep him away.

After seeing the gleem in their eyes when I brought the tree in, I plan on elevating it on a table. Their faces just lit up when they saw it, "wow, she got us a tree to pee on in the house!" We shall see. Right now the cat is climbing it. Thankfully I have a sturdy base to keep it steady.

Is it just live trees that are getting attacked or artificial ones too? I plan on putting mine up next weekend I was wondering how she was going to be with it. I'm hoping since she is very good around house plants that the tree won't phase her.

Oh, no..I've been dreading the "tree". Thor is six months old and we have a big evergreen in the backyard that I haven't been able to keep him away from. Since the day I brought him home he has been wearing pine sap as a scent. I just know he's going to think I did him a favor and brought it in for the winter. Hmmm...I see I'm going to have to think about this.

You have cemented my decision on NOT having a tree!! I am worried about the same thing. I want one but not at the price of doing all that work just so it can be taken down by a curious boxer. Maybe I'll put one of those fences around it. If it's not a ripped up tree, it's presents getting ripped up!
