I just put my fake one up last night. Zeus has never shown interest in the four years I've had him. Cleo, on the other hand, has decided it to be her jungle gym. As I turned around to grab a few more branches, she'd see that as an opportunity to run underneath it and bite the lower branches.
I kept yelling at her at that point and so what she'd start doing was walk toward the tree non-chaulanty (sp?) (looking in the opposite direction) and when she was up close to it, she'd nip at it and take off real quick. I think she did this several times because she was testing me.
She's a character.

Our tree sits on a table so hopefully will be Zeb proof.
Lola was petrified of it last year and wouldn't come into the lounge for a few days as she had to walk past it to get in

LOL- this will be Chloe's first Christmas and ours in our new house. We have spent hours deciding on a location for this tree as well as how much to spend because we know at some point, no matter what we do something will get eatin!

I just bought a new tree this year it better not get ruined. I put dollar store ornaments on the bottom and keep a supply on hand Foreman loves ornaments he keeps chewing them the days that we leave the dogs alone which is usually 2 days per week little reminders get left in the house. usually small plastic items get chewed (Foreman) I was not impressed with the ink on my carpet from yesterday thank god for steam cleaners I don't know were he finds pens when I can't.

Lisa is not that interested in the tree, its more the things that can fall off the tree. When we had the cats, they would climb the tree and knock things off it. Of course Lisa was sitting waiting for anything to roll her way.
The tree is not up yet, I´ll give another week or so.

First Tree

This is my first home! my first ever 8 month pup (she's my world) and my first tree!!!! so excited!!!!! Hoping she will keep away from it, it's when all the jingle jangle sounds are happening, thats when she will notice it. Good luck to me and everyone else.

I don't put any glass ornaments on my tree. Atlas does not bother the tree anymore but he used to when he was young. He still likes to go up and sniff everything but he does not try to knock anything off. I can't put any presents out until Christmas day because he thinks all of the presents are his to open.

Hennessy's first year we put the tree up decorated in christmas cards that we recieved and a strong no-no when a little nose got to close lol the second year we tried just a few ornaments (no glass) with a no-no that was only needed a couple of curious times and now his third year the tree is fully decorated (no glass) and such the good boy he is has the no-no down pat!

This is the first year with Rock at Christmas. I don't think I will put up the tree this year. He gets into enough mischief on his own without help from me. Plus the Cats climb it and Neither Rock nor the Cats get along so I can just imagine the carnage. LOL
When I did put up a tree I used thread instead of hooks, that way I didn't have to worry about them choking on metal hooks. I also used plastic balls on the bottom so I wouldn't have to worry if they decided they looked like balls and threw them around.
Those silly babies. hehehehheee
