Hi From NZ

Boxer Booster
Is anyone else out there like me? I just can't go there! I can't read the threads in there because I end up crying too hard (and it's happened to me here at work too, I've become a sobbing mess) so I've had to give up and just stick to the forums on this site that I can cope with. Even some of the thread titles get me going. Hell, I visited the Poetry forum today and even a couple of the poems in there made me emotional and made my eyes leak...!!!

Please tell me I'm not the only one! Is it because I'm still a puppy mum that I get so emotional? (I know sleep deprivation's done worse things to me, hahahaha)

I love that people write in with tributes to their beloved pets and other people are there to hear and understand what they're going through. Just wish I could share in the tribute without falling utterly to pieces....:(

I can most of the time, but there are times that the emotions attached to the loss of a pet are a bit too much. I understand how you feel.

It is almost two years since we lost our last boxer, and I can say that our new boxer has "filled" the empty place quite well, but there are still times that I have a sadness for her loss. And there are also times when I realize that at some point we will lose our current boxer.

When reading some people's stories, then this realization that someday...which I hope is many years off..I will face that loss again.

Yes, that's exactly how it is for me, too. Sometimes if I just look at the thread titles I will actually start to get teary-eyed and feel sad. It's not just a puppy mum thing either, because I've got my full grown boxer girl. I really think the people who are able to spend time on that thread and leave some nice sympathetic messages for the people who are grieving have a lot of fortitude

I too have a very hard time going there. To the health forums as well. I can't even watch Animal Planet right now. I think that since I turned 30 I have either had a drop off in hormones or a surge because I find myself crying at the drop of a hat anymore. I feel for everyone going through these horrible times and I too hate it when I see someone that I have come to "know" through this site.
I visit them every now and then, but it is just too much for me right now as well.

I don't go in there much either because it just hurts. I feel bad for them and wish I could read & leave some nice comments but it just makes me feel so sad. :(

I have a hard time reading the tribunes also. I have to be alone to do it. I can never watch those shows on Animal Planet about animal cops, between being heart broken for the poor animals and enraged at their idiot owners I just can't take it. Worse than road rage is idiot animal abuser rage (and justifiable too I think).

I was thinking the same thing..it is nice to have a place to express your feelings when the time comes, but to go there and read, I have a hard time. :(

Me too, It makes me so sad for the families that have lost their greatly loved babies that I cant help but cry wich then makes me think that I too will be in their shoes with my Joey someday and that makes me cry even more. I know I should go there more often and I hope others dont think I am inconsiderate but it is very sad. Glad to hear I am not the only one! :(
