Lots of healing vibes coming your way for Tango, and Grunt sends a special boxer hug to Tango's Mama (he always gives hugs when someone looks worried).

Grunt..I love that name! and i understand the hug Tango is like that too..he picks up on emotions and wants to make you smile..it is a boxer trait i do beleive..:)

There are quite a few one "L" Michele's round here..ive always heard its not the most common spelling of the name but from the looks of things on BW either all one "L's" love boxers or we have a pretty common name..lol

His surgery is the 15th so i will post an update after he gets home..thank you all again..it means so much to us both!

Tango has his surgery today and everything went well! he is very sore and will be for several days. They gave him pain meds and antibiotics. I have to tell you all tho this vets office is amazing! First thing i asked about was if they used ace..Doctor Early said they do not use it and most espicially not on boxers and went on to tell me about how dangerous it was to boxer's in particular( i was impressed and much happier to leave him with them after that). They had me take Tango back to the kennel with them..he had a huge fluffy comforter on the floor and it was nice and warm in there. I put him in his kennel and felt bad when i had to shut him in. Then the tech turned on the radio for him(needless to say at that point i felt EVEN better) So they took me around and showed me the surgery area and recovery area's i met the techs and the nurse. Yes i said nurse! Then it was time for me to go. I picked him up 8 hours later. I was taken into a room and they went over the entire surgery with me. I found out the have heated operating tables and a fan that blows warm air over the dog throughout the entire surgery! They use warm towels to lay him on after he is in the recovery room and a handler sits in the floor of the kennel and pets him till he wakes up. They also have a machine that monitors all his vital signs during the surgery and i was given a copy of the ECG reading that was taken while he was in surgery. Their motto is gentleness and hugs are the best medicine. The entire procedure was $400 and to be honest ive paid more and gotten far less. This was nicer than any people hospital Ive ever been in. They have a new client for life!!

ps..results on all the biopsy's will be back in a few weeks !

A very sore Tango and Michele

Wow!

It's good to hear Tango's surgery went well. I must ask, where is this vet located? Anywhere near Raleigh? LOL. Their facility and staff sound amazing!

Good to hear that Tango's surgery went well!! Poor baby - it sounds like he is getting everything he needs to keep him comfortable, especially the TLC. We continue to send lots of healing and hopeful vibes - please continue to let us know how he is doing. Grunt sends "hang in there" hugs to Tango and his Mama.

How fortunate you are to have just an incredible vet and clinic where Tango's procedure was done. I can only imagine your relief and gratitude to have such caring and knowledgeable people attending to your baby in such a wonderfully healing environment. What a blessing!!

glad to hear Tango was ok. Another boxer that was at my vet when i brought Cin in one day had the same thing. At first they couldnt figure out what it was because they couldnt get any cells of for observation. But they figured it out he had surgery and everything was honkey dorey!
