UGH! Nikki's surgery has been postponed until next week as she had a massive allergic reation and broke out in so many hives it was disfiguring. I will let you all know how things turn out next week. I had to come to work for a few hours today, but will be going to get my 'ole girl from the vet shortly. If it's not one thing, it's another!

Darn....I know this is certainly a set-back you had not counted on. I am sorry thing have had to be put on hold for Nikki...but just hang in there and be sure to give her a big hug from me when you get her home. djk

Just thought I'd give all you well wishers an update. Nikki had her surgery on Tuesday and all went well. I was so thrilled that she still has a wee-bit of a nub left so I can at least tell when she is wagging her tail!!

I would have posted sooner, but we have been busy with some incontinence, carpet cleaning, vomitting and pill cocktails. Seeing as I didnt expect it, we wet all our beds and the carpeting through the night. Live and learn...

The report from the oncologist came back and she is a middle of the road grade two. They got all the margins, so although my vet said to keep an eye on it, he thinks she will be just fine.

Thank you all again for your input and your thoughts for my baby.

Super! Glad to hear Nikki is doing well. We had some "incontinent moments" with Mugsy last year. I grew so weary of washing dog beds that I bought twin size mattress covers (the vinyl ones for bedwetters) and cut them in half. I wrapped the dog bed filler in the vinyl and secured it inside the waterproof cover with duct tape. That way, whenever Mugsy had an accident, I only had to wash the bed cover. For fifteen dollars, I was able to spare myself a lot of aggravation.

Again, so glad to hear the good news!
