I think my friends and family think i am a little mad, i treat my Elvis as if he were a baby, but to me that is exactly what he is. He loves it when he lays in my arms like a baby, although now 35lbs he is starting to hurt my back. He is spoilt more than my partner and i cuddle him non stop. Is it odd to have so much love for a dog??? God knows what I would do without him I have wanted a boxer pup since my last boxer (Bruno) passed away 3 years ago, he could never be a replacement but is definatly the next best thing.

Does anyone else get people saying they are batty for loving their boxer sooooo much???

Sounds like you are talking about me! Pokey is almost 6 months old and my friends have started calling me "that crazy dog woman". LOL!

But, I wouldn't want it any other way!

Weeeeeeelll Hannah, if you are " mad" then all of us here at BW suffer from the same thing  We are all completely, totaly, and wholeheartedly mad about our boxer babies !!! Those folks that aren't lucky enough to have a boxer baby or two -or in my case 4 - in their life just can't seem to understand the depth of love and devotion we have for our furkids. I still hold Cissy like a baby, every night she crawls up in my lap while I watch TV,curls up in my arms, and falls sound asleep-and she weighs about 50 lbs. now.

Yep, we're all mad-aint't it great ?? muahahahahahaha

Well...maybe

I have had Gregory for 2 weeks now. He is getting along fine. He gets alot of cuddle time at night, but so does my partner. I have to remember sometimes that he is a dog and is a baby. I am already attached to the boy and in time, I am sure that I will be just a mad as the rest of the group.

Even Mark thinks I'm nuts sometimes...and my mom, and my friends, and the rest of my family for that matter! But, I sware I have caught every single one of the people who call me "nuts" sharing a moment with her :D!

I am defintely crazy of my little Asia ;)

After I had my miniature dachshund for a few weeks, my dad began saying that I was turning him into a girl because I babied him so much. Now that I have Beau, it's even worse. I have a double papasan chair and his toys barely fit into it. He and Bailey are the loves of my life. They sleep with me every night and sit in my lap every chance they get. It was no big deal with just Bailey (10lbs) but Beau is another story. At 55lbs. he is a load, but if he wants to sit in my lap, I welcome his affection. There are definitely plenty of other dog lovers out there!

I sure love my baby Nina.
She is a pure joy to have. Lately its been really cold here so when we go for our walks...and the skin kids want to play in the swings...i let Nina jump...all wet with snow and sit ON ME to keep warm...i just smother her with warm hugs....thats right to onlooker i must seem like a crazy nut.....but hey who cares ...I AM ONE LUCKY NUT...LOL

People think I am crazy for loving my baby too much but I DONT care. I love her with all my heart, she really is my best friend. Obviously I have friends I can trust but not like I can trust this little one. Every day that goes by, our relationship gets even better, like we know each other better as each day passes. I find new fun things to do with her and I get different reactions out of her. I love making her happy, especially seeing her hop like a deer when I bring out her frozen kong. I could not imagine life without her. In fact, my sister is due to have her baby any day now so when I go to see my new niece I don't want to have to worry about Mischka cause she is way too rambunctious. So just for the weekend she will be in a doggy day care near my sister's house and I said, "Do you know if I can visit her?" My sister couldn't believe I would need to go and visit her. I treat my pup like a baby. I get her eye boogies out with my bare hand and pick stuff out of her ears. I love picking her up and holding her like a baby. Well you get the point, I am crazy too. Oooooh, and I love kisses.

I LOVE my girl!! She is very spoiled and gets tons of attention (she's also well behaved though). She gets kisses all the time--sometimes she makes faces like "Mommy, will you *please* leave me alone for a minute?!?" Thankfully, my Mom feels the same way, and my Dad is pretty understanding of it too, so I don't get weird looks from my family.

I know people at work think I am nuts, because first of all I talk about Wilson A LOT and secondly I refuse to work evening shifts on the weekdays. My husband works from 4pm onwards Mon- Fri and so since we got Wilson I told my manager I am only available to work during the day Mon-Fri because I do not want my puppy to be by himself and in his crate too long. I know that their bladder is not very strong when they're young and I just don't feel comfortable with him being alone too long. :( He is now 6 1/2 months old though so soon I am probably going to start working a couple evenings. The most he'd probably be alone is 7 hrs straight but not likely so I think once or twice a week should be ok. People at work keep saying things like "come on he's just a dog!" but I tell them no he's a Boxer, and he's my baby :p When I see people at work now they usually ask me how is my dog lol.

Edit: Oh and I forgot to add that probably all the servers, hosts, managers and even a couple Bussers have seen pictures of Wilson!!
