Strange bump

Ok for the good news IT'S NOT Cancer!! and the bad news the staples did not hold.So now we heal from the outside in. Packed with gauze last night. not going back until Thursday and the gauze is already out of the incision. I am looking for cover suggestions. It's on his chest close to the front leg.

Fantastic news !!!! As for the incision is there any way they can glue it , my son got it done last year in a cut on his head so as not to have stitch marks , it dissolves ..

YAY for no cancer! Sorry no advice on the incision other than good luck!

Not sure about getting stitches/staples to hold, but have had good luck putting t-shirts on my (and friends dogs) to keep them from bothering the incision. Good luck.

Now we go for packing every 2-3 days. Last one lasted 24 hours the one before lasted 48. I can see some healing but it's going to be a while. Today is the first day I've left him home all day. DH will be home at lunch to check on him. We don't go back to the vet until tomorrow for the next packing. It's so strange to see. He has several large looped stitches around the opening. She put an ointment on and then covers it with packing. They she basically laces the stitches together to hold the packing in place. I'll try to get a pic after the next packing.
