what are they thinking!?!
I've been talking alot about my pending arrival. An associate casually mentioned that her female is about to whelp. I was absolutely shocked. The person has already been issued a citation from her city because the city considers her dog "vicious". Apparently, the dog either was extremely abused as a pup or just has a rotten temperment because the thing tries to attack anyone who comes near it's yard. She claims that her dog is very sweet with the family, but she has 6 kids and the oldest is only 11! She had told me that the dog was kept on a chain in her backyard. I asked her how the dog was bred and she said, "Well, when you're on a chain you can't really keep from it". Then said that she had never "gotten around to" getting the dog fixed. I told her that she could still take the dog to the vet and have the dog fixed even though the puppies would be aborted. She looked at me as if I had grown a new head out of my butt! She said, "Oh, I would never do that to my dog"! I told her that from all of the things I read, an aggressive female would only become more aggressive after the birth of her pups. She said that the dog wouldn't hurt her family. I am so worried for the safety of those children.
