Sock Problem

Poor Pimp! I hope he feels better soon.

Socks are the ultimate treasure as far as Oscar is concerned. He hasn't tried to eat them - yet. He likes to steal them and stretch them -- standing on one end and pulling up as hard as he can on the other. It is only fun really fun for him if you know he has one and you try to get it back.

If he manages to get a sock, he will sort of prance and parade around with it like ..."Loo de doo, I'm just walking around casually, Pay no attention to the sock." When you notice it and say "Oscar - what's that? What have you got!" - He freezes, ears at attention - then the game is on!! Catch me if you can!

He is doing better today. He is not throwing up anymore just still the runs, but that is expected until he tummy calms down. We still went to get his professional portraits done today. He is sooo cute!! I'll post them once I pick them up next week.

Pimp shows us the literal meaning of "throwing up your socks" Silly boy, stop eating those things, they are not good for your tummy or daddy's feet!! I'm glad he's feeling better and will be looking forward to your portraits

I have to tell you, I think I have the biggest sock thief on the planet. Luke steals them every chance he gets and eats them completely, as well as anything else he can get his paws (and mouth) on. He has been regularly either throwing up or pooping socks since we got him! It's not like we just leave them laying around either...he can open doors and drawers like no other dog I have ever seen! He doesn't even care if they are dirty or clean, single or rolled into pairs.

Two weeks ago we had a emergency where he had a blockage and had to have surgery and they pulled out a nail file and a pair of underwear! We had to go through our entire house this last week and put child proof locks on every door including the closets and laundry room. I don't know what to do with him. He can get a sock down in about 2.2 seconds (he doesn't even chew, just swallows!)

I just don't want him to get them stuck in his stomach. I feel bad when i see him soo miserable.

Kilbane just likes to steal the socks out of the laundry basket as I fold them. Tango likes to open the draws under our bed to pull out the socks and underware on boths sides. Jack shows no interest here at home but once when he visited the SK's girlfriend he ate her underware. He threw them up the other day after eating them over the weekend. Freaked me out, I wasn't sure what it was at first. Turns out they were part of a matching set that cost about $80. LOL. Crazy to spend that kind of money only to have it eaten.

Grunt loves socks! He prefers dirty ones though. He grabs one in his mouth and then runs away, only to come back and want you to play tug of war with him. I'm pretty sure that he learned this when he was younger from my fiance and he still does it every time I turn my head away for a second.
