OMG!!! So glad that Apollo is going to be on the mend!!!!!!!!! Great news!!!!!!!! Keep us posted on his progress!!!! He's in our thoughts and prayers!!!

So far, no signs of infection or other issues related to the surgery. They are going to try to give him some water today and slowly work him into some food possibly tomorrow.

Vet says he is in good spirits and not depressed either. I am going to go by and see if they will let me hang out with him for a bit today.

What a relief....sorry he swallowed the toy, but glad that they got it and he will be OK! Hug him for me if you get to see him today, OK?

I'm sorry that I just saw this. Bodie went through something similar about 2 months ago. We were fortunate in that he swallowed his toy right in front of us so we were at the emergency vet 20 minutes later. The toy showed up on that X-ray but not on the one at his regular vet 3 days later (they hoped it would pass). The vet said that because there was air in the toy when he swallowed it, it glowed on the X-ray. By the second X-ray the air was out of the toy and it didn't show up.

I'm glad your little guy is doing better. Bodie came home the night of his surgery and was in pretty bad shape. He couldn't lay down on his own. After that night he started to get better. By about the 3-4 day mark he was pretty much back to normal. We did have some problems with interactions between his pain med and antibiotics so watch your little guy for any changes-Bodie acted a bit drunk and just started falling over.

Its been about 2 months now and Bodie is perfect again. His scare is almost completely unnoticeable now. Sending good thoughts and gentle wiggles to you and your pup.
