Monty is afraid of our bed! I think it's up too high. For the first few weeks after we brought him home my husband and I traded off doing "boxer duty" downstairs on the sofa where he slept very happily. Now that he's able to make it through the night without going potty he sleeps on the sofa, or in his bed alone.

I have to admit that I'm a little disappointed, because it had taken some convincing for my husband to think it was a great (ok, acceptable) idea for him to sleep with us, yet every time we've brought him up he freaks out. Oh well - I still get to nap with him on the couch.

Well, I feel much better! I was all against her on the bed, but it makes taking her to potty at night MUCH easier. She licks us when she needs to potty. The 75lb dog in my bed in the future does worry me a lil bit haha. We only have a Queen too.

When we got our minpin I wanted him in his own bed, but he cried soo much that my husband brought him into bed...so when along came the boxer baby, guess where she slept too!! I must say I would not have it any other way. THe 4 of us cuddled on the sofa all the time too, with of course Dakota getting the best seat, after all - she's was our boxer baby!~

Toffee sleeps on the bed with me, and I wouldn't have it any other way. She weighs 75 pounds.

You mentioned training... having her on the bed has never affected her training. She minds me very well and I've never had any issues with her.

Abigail usually goes to bed with me ... but by the time her dad comes to bed I may or may not have to get up and crate her... when she drops off in that deep sleep she will snore so loud that no one will get any sleep... if she is not snoring she can stay the night.. she is so cuddly... I have never had a Boxer that snored this loud... my husband snores and with them both I can forget getting any sleep..

We were convinced when we got Lambeau that he would not sleep in our bed. Well, sometime along the way, we caved and invited him into bed with us! :) That was after he was completely potty trained, b/c the crate was the only way for us to go until he was potty trained. When he starts to snore loudly though, it is back to the crate! We are really thinking of getting a pillow bed for him though to put in our room to call his own. He is only 40 lbs right now, but already that is a lot to have in our bed!! I just love snuggling with him though!! (So does hubby!!)

Cisco is being crate trained right now so he sleeps there at night.
After he is potty trained he will probly sleep with me some.

Reese sleeps in bed with hubby and I occasionally. She is only 45 lbs, but she tends to be a wicked bed hog (we have a queen size bed). She's always in the bed with me though if hubby isn't there. It's funny because hubby always said she would never sleep in bed with us, but one night I was really sick and I wanted to cuddle up to her, and he gave in. :)

I only have a double bed. Is a Queen size bigger than a King? Sam will come to bed with me for a cuddle. When Jason comes to bed Sam sleeps in a chair in our bedroom. When Sam goes into a really deep sleep he does snore quite loudly. He also dreams and his legs twitch and he barks in his sleep as if he is chasing something. Funny that as he rarely barks during waking hours, only at the door bell or postman. Does anyone elses baby do this?
