Skylar had a seizure this past Sunday

Hello everyone, my12 year old boxer had a seizure this past Sunday, she is doing better and will be coming home tomorrow, she is still having some issues with walking, is there any advice you can give as far as taking care of her when she comes home? anyway we can rehab her to help her get a strength back as far as walking good again? any help would be appreciated

Hi Sorry to hear about the seizure, that must have been scary. Have you had a look to see if there are any hydrotherapy places near where you live? Our Dane is getting weak in his back legs and the specialist he has to see a few times a year recommended hydrotherapy. A physio would help too. Sometimes time can help too, Thor had some kind of a stroke about 2 years ago, he was walking like a drunk man at first, but after about a week he was walking normally again.

Oh that is so scary. I am glad Skylar is coming home. I don't have any experiences with seizures so far but I just wanted to empathize and I hope your fur-baby gets better.

So sorry to hear about Sklyar! Hopefully she will recover quickly! I would start with very short walks. Just take it easy and let her recover.. Follow your vets advice..
