I feel very privileged to have read this thread. I cannot find enough words to describe the emotions I felt while reading about Grace's new life that you gave her. I looked at your pictures...I can see why Grace tugged at you heartstrings. She is very beautiful.
I was excited to read that you read the book "The Dog Listener." My husband and I read the book after we rescued our boy, Deeg. When we first got Deeg he was a little stressful on us. He had some pretty wild and different behavior problems. When we found the book, it helped us find our way into his abandoned heart; it made our situation with him so much easier.
You have such a happy looking family; thanks again for sharing the details of your wonderful story. I get the feeling that your story will inspire many people in the future to save or help save a abandoned and homeless boxer. I know I feel inspired. Maybe I'll be up to getting another one someday soon...tee hee.

I also wanted to tell you guys that Grace is progressing very well...yesterday we let them all eat in the same room...and Grace gobbled up her food of course, then she went over to Harlies bowl, and Har wasnt finished yet...she just kind of looked at her for a few seconds, then walked away from Harlie. I was so happy. We are going to try feeding them all together from now on...and I have high hopes that it is going to be just fine. Treats arent an issue with her anymore, she knows she is going to get one too...bones we havent worked with yet...but we will try to get over that hurdle when we come to it...for now the treats and food is plenty to be happy about.

Gracie Woo Woo's latest weigh in:
Welp, last nite we went to the vet with little miss Gracie and she is not so little anymore!! LOL...last nite she was weighed on an empty tummy and she weighed 54lbs!!! She has gained 13lbs since her last weigh in. I think that this past week was a big week for her...she just seemed bulkier everyday. We can no longer see her ribs at all anymore. Her spine is slightly out still, but not very visible...more just able to feel it...and her hip bones are still out a little too, but they are slowly getting covered too.
We had the vet do a skin scrape on her too because some parts of her skin and hair is thing and crusty looking...not flaky really, just dry and chapped looking and I wanted to make sure that she didnt have mange or ringworm. According to the vet, she just has dry skin since the skin scrape and a blacklight type test came out normal. So thats good...I was really hoping that it wasnt mange.
She is just a major wiggle butt wacko dog now. When we come home and let her out of her crate, she jumps around us like crazy...not jumping on us...
...just all around us doing these flip type things. Its cute.
All the dogs are doing good too and they all eat in the same room everyday now...we even tried bones one night and they all did good. When we give them the fake pig ear things, they are always fine and never even growl at eachother...but when the real bones come out they just have to be supervised just incase because to them they are special. So its all working out great still and I really doubt that we will have any problems with the three. Gracie and Bub (Max) sleep together, and I swear sometimes that they are boyfriend and girlfriend! They play, wrestle, and kiss eachother all the time...its like a constant makeout fest with them...and I know the licking is a dominance thing, but they both lick eachother, so I have no idea whats going on.... Grace plays with Har and Max and even submits to them sometimes by being the one laying on the floor under them and playing...while they stand over her...and other times, Har and Max are on the floor being submissive...maybe they finally get that WE are the alpha's and are giving up on trying between the three of them...who knows...but its going good.
I will make sure I get some pictures soon because Grace is so much more filled out now.

I'm so glad you updated us. I have been wondering how you have all been doing. It's great to hear evrything is well and that Grace has gained so much weight. That's amazing. You both are the best for bringing her in and making such a good home for her. Please post new pix!
