Super Boxer
Portland is 1.5 hours for me. A very easy drive. Although I normally set Sundays aside for church and family, I might make an exception for a Boxer Bash.

Sundays are dedicated the same for me too, however it would be an exception for us also. OR... is it possible we can a mini-bash on that Saturday? Linda, Bailey's mom, may be able to join us too?

Or maybe there's a park or something in or near Vancouver? I'm not familiar with southern Wa though... ~ Lisa

Our monthly boxer play day is Sunday, October 13 (second Sunday of the month). We are getting a bigger and bigger turnout every month. I didn't even count last month--15 dogs or more!

If anyone is up for that, we'd love to see you down here.
I'm not sure if I could make it Saturday 10/12 (we have a soccer game, and probably a birthday party).

I recently discovered a fenced dog park at Delta Park in Portland--near Portland International Raceway. That's just across the river from Vancouver (a *little* closer for the Washington folks than Milwaukie). It's pretty nice, but no water.

Completely Boxer Crazy
I'd be up for getting to Portland sometime soon!! Saturdays or Sundays make no difference to me..............I'm usually cleaning house, doing laundry, etc. on these days so I could swing it. ;) Let me know what everyone decides.

Linda - If Madison, Gunnar and I come down for the 13th, Tim won't be with us (he'll be back in NE), so could you put some directions up or something?? I would really appreciate it! Look forward to hearing from you.

I think we'll just GO FOR IT and head down to Portland that weekend... although, Diego's brothers, Royce and Raiden have their first birthday partyicon on 10/12. I wanted to spend the night, but 3-3.5 hours is manageable... ~ Lisa

By no water, do you mean no water for drinking or playing? ~ Lisa

Neither. :( The dog area at Delta Park is simply a big fenced field. There are some trees. I've been there once. It was late in the afternoon, and it was mostly in the shade. But it's BYOB ("bring your own bowl"--and water). ;)

North Clackamas Park (where we have our regular monthly play days) has a hose and buckets for dog drinking water. Outside the dog run area there is a stream the dogs can play in. But technically they're not supposed to be off leash in that area. Unless there is a soccer game or something going on, it's usually not a problem.

Trish, I believe I posted a link with directions before. I'll look for it.

It's at North Clackamas Park. I think technically the address is Kellogg Creek Drive.
From Washington, take I-5 south to I-205 south.
Take I-205 to Milwaukie exit 13, West on Hwy. 224 (past KMart), turn left on Rusk Rd. Park is behind Milwaukie Center. Dog area is in the far back - right side.
