Heidi & Palmer -
I suppose it's time to start the rescheduling process. Do you know of a place near Leavenworth where the dogs can safely play? Diego's ligament tear is still healing and may not be able to play, however he'd *love* any and all interaction with boxer buddies :p!

Any weekend work esp. well for anyone?

There is the city park, I think that is what it is called. It is actually an island in the river with a walking trail around the outside of it. Quite nice, but wooded. There are alot of grassy parks in Wenatchee that would be really nice too. I thought Leavenworth would be fun because the Boxer is a German dog and the whole German theme of Leavenworth. Kind of a corny idea but maybe we would make the local newspaper with all our Boxers in town. Since Palmer is so young he may not be able to play too much with the others, but it would be fun to meet anyway. Another note, there are hotels there that accept pets.

As long as I have about a weeks notice I can go any weekend.

This is great! I hope theres another one real soon, Tuppence is growing up so fast and I wanted everyone to see her when shes still a lil cutie! lol. Eastern WA is quite a long drive for us tho...:(

Let me know what you all decided, I'm sure Zeus would love to go. Maybe he'll actually behave this time and we won't have to leave early:rolleyes:

We miss Zeus and can't wait to see him again :)! I will more than likely have Diego leashed most of the time due to injury. He would love a walking partner ;)!

We need to pick a day, time and place. I'm willing to head east of the mountains to Leavenworth. A German town - how cute is that?!

Heidi, we'll need your guidance if folks are willing... ~ Lisa

Fantastic Shannon appicon! Maybe we can have a bash next spring at your place?!

Thanks for the concern about Diego's leg. He's doing much better, but I'm nervous about him running around playing. Still too soon :(. He would L-O-V-E to play with Tonka, and of course Barbie :o!

Ok, I think the Leavenworth trip would be neat. I will do some investigating and see what kind of areas I can find. A few questions though: Is off leash necessary? How many have come in the past? We could even meet at a school yard to let the dogs run around together, then head into town.

How about October 5th? Nice fall day in Leavenworth with our Boxers, doesn't get much sweeter than this. Palmer will have had his 2nd set of shots by then too. And, although I live in Eastern Washington, this will still be a 3 hour drive for me. I am way down in the Columbia River Gorge.

Astoreen

We would love to go but unfortunately, we probably won't be able to make that as it is my first week back to grad classes and a new job. Despite that, it would be a 4 hour drive from Lacey by myself since Tim will no longer have Saturdays off beginning 9/29. :( Also, we had to postpone getting Gunnar's second round of vaccinations until 10/9 or so as he's on another round of antibiotics.

Other than that, we would love to see everyone and were hoping that it would be before the weather got crappy. :( Too bad that there isn't an indoor doggie play area large enough to tolerate boxer play! ;) Hope you guys have fun!! We'll miss you all.

Well, I don't think I am going to be able to make it that weekend either. We will keep trying though.

Let's see... it takes Astoreen 4 hours and Heidi 3 hours ~ Isn't there a happy medium? How far is Portland from you Heidi? Maybe we should all try and go to Portland's thing next month, which I think is Sunday, Oct. 13th?

Or... isn't there some place in between we can meet? ~ Lisa
