GOD this is awful! I know its not possible to save every single one but for some reason this boy just crept into my heart! I've got tears in my eyes reading the responses from all of you.

I can't thank you all enough for your help in trying to save this little boy....you all are truly angels. I will keep trying to get him out of there!

She must be busy answering all our emails...this is the response I got from her....

"I went to the shelter the other day and bought four or five boxers for them. They are indeed full, so if you are interested in giving one of these dogs a home, that would be between you and Ursula Sauthier, the Boxer Rescue of LA person. I have included her in on this e-mail. This shelter does not ship and is a long way from a major airport, so I don't imagine that it would be very easy for them to do it, nor would they have the time. This is a quick kill shelter. Sorry. I don't think she understands what I'm asking. I certainly don't expect the shelter to "ship" the dog somewhere. I even told her that we're working on someone being able to come GET him.... I'm still awaiting a response from the local Boxer Rescue.

I just called them and spoke with 3 different people. There were actually 4 boxers and they were all picked up yesterday by LA rescue. They have one more coming today. So they are safe.

I didn't do anything. I just called my husband and told him about everything and he was like well we;'ll go get him but I can't promise you I won't fall in love on the way home. So I'm going to call LA Rescue and see how they're all doing in a bit. I'll let you all know. I have to also call my sister in law who was thinking of fostering him so she can know what happened.

Thanks to you allpartyicon partyicon partyicon partyicon partyicon

Thank you posting that info. I'm so glad they're all safe and now we can just hope and pray that they find good foster and forever homes quickly. :)

It's made me much happier to know that the little chap we've all been so concerned about is safe from destruction as it would have broken my heart if we were too late.

I heard back from the Bakersfield chamber of commerce and have contact details for a couple of local networks and I was just about to contact their press room with details of what we were trying to do here. I'll keep their details on file in case there's a next time.

I'm definately going to contact Ursula at LA boxer rescue to offer a donation as I felt so useless sat here today and now I need to help in whatever way I can.

If someone can pull this beautiful little boy & girl, I'll gladly pay to have them shipped to Maryland!!! I have been on the phone off & on with the shelter but they keep putting me on hold.

It's breaking my heart to see, not only these little ones, but all of the "throw-away boxers" in shelters. I'd like to take all of these irresponsible idiot owners and lock their "a_ _ _ _ _" in a cage or let them know the fear and helplessness of knowing that their time is up! The really sad and frustating thing is these kinds of people will do it again and again . . . . .

Sorry for the tirade. Please somebody, pull these dogs. I know Maryland is a long way but I'm here, willing and able to help. If they can't be shipped I'll gladly donate to help pay expenses to whoever can keep them.

Oh, it is 9am and I am already crying..... thank you for your hard work on saving the babies. I would take him if I could but after what happened with Sammy we cannot have another- not even a foster. LA Boxer rescue works so hard. They had over 100 boxers when I got Sammy.
We have already agreed that maybe when Junior is older or (God forbid) he goes to the rainbow bridge, we will adopt 2 or 3 at one time so we can have a houseful.
Thank you for your efforts.
God Bless you all angelicon

I am so happy to be a part of this wonderful group. You have all touched my heart in a way that I can't explain. I am here willing to help in any future situations that are here in California. I hope it doesn't have to happen again but know that you can call on me to help. Believe me if I had the money I would have gladly. But even if I don't have it I will at least be willing to find a temporary home and be willing to transport if necessary.
This has been avery good morning, very satisfying. Thank You all for everything. I also thank you for letting me be a part of this. I am calling La shelter as well and plan to give a small donation but will continue to help in any way that I can.
YOU ARE ALL FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)
